when I switched to a smaller engine guard I left the fairing mounts off and haven't had any issues with it over the last two years. Great video!

I installed the chopped engine guard and Harleys version of the mx floor boards as well on my 18 RG last winter, went with the Ciro 360° hi-way pegs because I didn't want any peg hanging off the engine guard, I already had the floorboard extenders installed just bought a extended heel shifter and lowered it down so it clears the back of the floorboard, not giving up my heel shifter 😂 interested to see what cam you're doing, I went all fuel Moto 2 winter's ago with the woods 22 cam if I remember right, really woke up a already strong motor, glad you're having fun doing the upgrades, I know I did and I get alot of compliments on it.

@540MOTO Not sure if anyone else makes anything similar, they are very pricey especially if you buy the Ciro footpegs that'll add $100 bucks, I'm not gonna say there bad or anything but if I had to do it again I probably wouldn't, I'm not sure if you can buy em and test drive em and return them if you don't like em, I read some reviews and the guys seemed to like em ? For me with my extended floorboards they stick out pretty far and I don't find myself using the whole peg I kinda rest my foot where the peg mounts to the arm, there is quite a bit of adjustment on them tho, hopefully this helps, good luck. Thanks for the video. It really helped with the install of my chopped engine guard. Wish I would have known to pop the speaker grills out from the inside edge first. I broke off one of the tabs. One and only casualty..

2021 RGS comes with a chopped bar and I hate it because I can't run pods so I want to remove my mustache and put on a normal bar. And 2021 RG stopped coming with heel toe so I had to add heel toe and you're doing all the opposite! That's 1 reason I love HD, we can all do our own thing.

The manufacturer of the bar you install should provide you with a fairing support bar too. I wouldn't run it if you don't have a fairing support bar. And I don't think they are sold separately.

Prefer flat rubber texture boards, think thay perform well, I run soft lowers mostly all the time so stock bars work fine.

Nice install video. However, without the lower spoiler kit the chopped crash bar looks like a giant bent paper clip. I have the same ride but the spoiler is definitely going on to hide the paper clip look. Just my 2cts.

Jerry Thames I would think using a heat gun to soften the adhesive on emblems would help you peel them off easier. Also use dental floss or a light fishing line to get behind emblems.

Those floorboards are sick but are they too grippy? I’m a heel shifter, will the boards hold on to your feet too much, making shifting not as smooth? I really like the look though.

They are VERY grippy. I just road 100 miles with them today, I love them but if you're a heel shifter then you might not like them because they are very grippy.

Are they lighter then stock? When i do a mod i like if it shaves a little weight. They look kinda big but on the bike they look pretty good. I do really like that seat though.

What I worry about with that style of floorboard is vibration. Without any rubber on there is it bad? Also - love the chopped guard - wouldn't be able to put a soft lower on it in the cold, though.

Are the engine guards Made in U. S. A. ? I’m not buying any more parts for my Harley’s that are made in China. Took a pair of grips back to the stealership last week because it said MADE IN CHINA right next to the “Genuine Harley-Davidson” sticker. If those guards are made over there, I’d rather pay a local welder to make me some and have them black-chrome plated here in our country. Just me.
