it is essential I agree, but man I would have gone for the shorty sissy bar and a smaller pad, it would do the job just fine, but this large tall backrest makes ur beautiful look out of proportion

I was wondering why it was so hard to get the backrest off my road glide. Seems like the dealer installed the mounting bracket incorrectly. They also didn’t leave the extra washers. Sissy bar doesn’t lock in and the plastic cam piece looks like it’s cocked sideways. 🤦🏽♂️

What seat is on your bike? New to Harley, can you put a passenger on it?
@hobsdigree24 жыл бұрын
Things that went wrong for me when attempting to install this myself. 1.) It was hotter than a pistol outside. 2.) I had to take out the pieces that were in the bike, prior to putting the docking station in. The bolts were tightened so incredibly hard I began stripping them while trying to remove them. Had to use a tool that destroyed the screw, but got the stripped screw out. 3.) The sissy bar didn't line up perfectly with the docking station. Meaning the hooks that snap on with the springs weren't latching on. Ultimately it is possible to do at home and if you know what you're doing, I agree, in theory it should be easy and can be a 20 min job. However, it's the little things that get you hung up you'll find.

I really like the bar & shield emblem on your tank. I checked them out at the place you got them from. How do they hold up? I live in NY State and get caught in the rain so I wash my bike very regularly and then wax it also. How do the vinyl decals hold up to washing etc? Guessing you make sure not to wax over them. Wish I knew last year when I had the tank painted, I would have cleared over top. Thanks for any info on them.

I went to put my new aftermarket shocks on and guess what? The shock hardware is different from the stock shock hardware. So now i cannot use the bitch bar if i want my aftermarket shocks. Thankfully i was able to find a different brand of bitchbar made by BDD Custom that mount to the 4 point docking kit only. Now i can get rid of the Harley shocks and put on my RS-1 shocks

@DOOWORKPRODUCTIONS4 жыл бұрын
These bars are the 10" Paul Yaffe Monkey Bars.
@1962egl4 жыл бұрын
I thought so. I just put a set of paul yaffe 10" monkey bars on my 2020 road glide special in zephyr blue this past Saturday. I love them. And I used ya'll's install video to show me how. Thanks. It went pretty simple, did the whole thing in three hours. The thing I did different was I cut the sheath off the tbw wires and replaced it with heat shrink. It reduced the diameter to about a third of the factory diameter so it pulled right through.
