You’re totally right. I work same kind of job, it’s been years of this stuff. But life in real world is you and me and all the people we work with are doing exactly what you said- going to work every day and putting food on the table. We didn’t “leave the building” and maybe that means even more in the long run. And no matter what else is happening, I couldn’t afford any brand of motorcycle and/or take the risk until my kid was 18 . Prices may take out HD in the end. Ride safe brother.

I give ya credit for wading into this topic, LOL. The issue with this whole grift (and it IS a grift) is that many publicly traded companies are now being pressured by (Global) Goverment oversight agencies to adopt "ESG" practices or face various fines/exclusion from their ability to raise capital via their corporate stock, etc. Harley is in a really bad spot now with this because 1) The have an EU based CEO who has bought into the whole ESG agenda (as most EU companies have) 2) The BoD of Harley does not have much choice - if they do not publicly adopt this nonsense, the company will potentially be forced out of the market via fines, loss of license, getting removed from trading etc. And not to add further fuel to the debate but the DNC and Harris/Walz are in lock step with the EU on this, so if they get elected, we will see even MORE American brands doing the same thing. It's textbook Maoist Marxism - publicly shame indivuals and companies into compliance or banish them from exisiting. Not a world any of us should want to live in... So although I hear what you are saying - that it's about putting food on the table and staying employed - this is actually part of the plan. The folks pushing this agenda know that all of us working sheep will just accept it - AKA we are the frogs in the pot oblivious to the flame being constantly turned up. The main leverage that Americans DO have on this is to simply not spend their money on companies who are not brave enough to embrace free market capitalism and push back on ESG - AKA - "Bud Lighting" them (It's very effective - ask Dylan Mulvaney). Do I feel bad for someone who just spent 30K on a new road glide? Yeah .... and no. Harley has had a lousy history of ignoring their customer base over and over - even before they were taken over by EU liberal morons - so there have been plenty of reasons to move away from them as a bike maker for a while - but I find that Harley folks are like NFL fans - the world could be burning down and ticket prices may be jacked 30% and yet they will STILL line up with their wallets open. If that doesn't change it really does not matter if some KZbinr shoots up his bike or if the Sturgis booth is empty. My 2 cents.

That’s more like a dimes worth 😂. Nick and I were just talking about it and I fully agree with you. When my comp mandated the fauchi ouchie I was willing to loss my job. We have mandated DEI classes every once in a while. I manage to be off sometimes (what a coincidence). And my company isn’t publicly traded. The whole football thing makes me sick. Now I won’t destroy any of my bikes, I sure as hell won’t buy new even if I hit the lottery. I also won’t give a penny that will go to corporate. I’ll support independent shops like the old family HD dealer that had to go independent because of HD industrialization of dealerships.

Well said, I’m with you, where I worked we had similar mandatory training, didn’t change the way I think or feel about it to each their own each. I’m definitely at the age where I don’t sweat about things out of my control, corporate doesn’t think about the repercussions it has on the little guy (s), so I do what I have to do to make sure my family and I are taken care of. I’m with you on keeping my Harley, i will always have one!

I think destroying a bike is stupid. I think getting rid a bike that a person bought used, is stupid. Buying used Harleys does NOT help HD in any way. If people want the woke crap to stop in America, they can't change it by any other means than to stop buying NEW products, in this case HD motorcycles. If I ever bought a HD again, not likely, it would be a used bike, that way I am not supporting corporate idiots that are out of touch with the vast majority of their customer base. I think Harley needs to get rid of their CEO because people don't like all this crap they are doing to the Harleys . We don't like all the changes they are making on the engine and body stile. They need to stick with the 1985 model FLHTCU that the owners can repair and love to ride. They are trying to change the looks and engines to the point the owners can't even work on them. The new models don't even look like a Harley anymore so all the Herley lovers are mad as hell and I don't blame them .
