Lovely sunrise, made all the more glorious from the saddle rather than a heated box - I'm sure HD are just as surprised by not only the illumination of the check engine light, but at the inclusion of one. Having checked with their top boffins, having tracked them down first, urinating in the street and singing 'eye of the tiger' in a way that only someone who's consumed 40 bottles of budweiser can - the solution was found on the troubleshooting flowchart, which was in among a pile of paper used to right a wonky table; Interminin...internmittab........ light that sometimes comes on won't stay off NO - return to step 1 YES - remove it.

Road salt makes me cringe. I only subject the Himalayan to it. I can’t wait for the winter to be over with. I love the colours in the sky at each end of the day 👌🏼 Good luck with the fault light. I wouldn’t have a clue I’m afraid.

It amazes me, SB, how the authorities get away with covering the 'roads' with a highly corrosive chemical in the knowledge that it will definitely damage vehicles. Were I to wilfully damage somebody else's vehicle then it would be classed as criminal damage which is a custodial offence.

Apparently on the continent they use a molasses based substance which isn't corrosive. I've heard that in new york they have put so much salt down that it has contaminated the water shelf 🤦‍♂️

I genuinely didn't know what the hell a sportster had to manage with a light, all sorted now I think, nothing serious but fixed a few issues when we found the fault. I'll save it for the live 🤣

I’ve had that light come on every time I ride the VStrom since my misadventures riding solo on a track I had no business being on by myself. The bike is running great, so I’m going to wait until I need to bring it to the shop to get it looked at. Not brilliant, but is why I am!!😂🤣😂🤣🤣

Is that when the dirt track was icy and there were signs saying do not drive up track, or when you came off riding up from the beach on pebbles? Whatever you call misadventure it makes for great tv and entertainment. 😁👍

@@wsmv It checks a lot of things! The amount of leather worn by the rider, how many times it's revved at a stop, whether or not it's shaking enough, and maybe it's fuel-injected, so it's got an ECM with 1,000 fault codes it can check for. OK, maybe just that last one.

That light is to remind you to put 1gallon of petrol to one quart of oil at next fill up!. Very polite bike to have that reminder. BMW should have that light too. Only difference is HD drips it and BMW burns it. Same thing. Sunrises on the beach are wonderful all year round while I have got a chance for the last 3 years.

I do love a sunrise, if you can catch it over the sea it's amazing. I live on the west coast and occasionally catch sunset over the water 😎👍

Not sure about your machine but the light can come on on some for things that aren't related to the engine at all. Mine will show a light if a hole in the speed ring is blocked. Had one on the Z1000SX for the ABS ring being fitted incorrectly after a tyre change.

What is it with you American motorcycle owners? Just make your bikes work 🤣 To be fair, bikes can suffer from heat exhaustion so there's no reason why they can't get hypothermia. We've been having grit on the roads for weeks here, does my nut in, not a fan of riding the bike in it. Fingers crossed it's nothing too serious, hopefully just a loose connection or something. Keep us postage. Beautiful footage just as daylight was starting. Hope you're well fella.

Thanks Grant thankfully it was a simple fix that was probably caused but a British home mechanic 🤣 All will become clear 👌 Can't beat a good sunrise mate, just wish they were more often and a bit warmer 🤣🤣
