I test rode a Sportster S last year at a demo ride event and I flipping loved it. It is a machine that is perfectly designed for making poor decisions. :-) Very fast, very flickable, very fun, very hooligan-friendly. But it's not well-suited to longer rides, so there is a bit of a trade-off there. I can't believe how different it is from its sister bike, the Nightster. Love the Sportster, was unimpressed with the Nightster.

I too demo ride the bike and found it to be , power for days , strange riding position to me anyway and a less than attractive sound but tbh heard some with aftermarket and sounded great . My 2 cents .

OK, I guess it’s a naked bike. Kind of. Sort of. If so, I would prefer a Yamaha MT-09 SV.
