Thanks for the video. I have heard some people apply beeswax as well, but that is known to attract dirt into the belt. How does the soap solution stand with regards to dust/dirt?

11inch shocks mate. And no issues with the stand. I’m pretty sure I’ve heard guys talk about customising the stand when they put 10.5inch shocks on though.

It’s a shame man , I’m sure the 500 was a big seller here in Australia too. I’m guessing they will go up in price by the end of the year . I know with cars if they stop making a certain car they have to provide parts for 10years . Not sure how bikes work but I’m sure it would be something similar don’t you think?

Hi there mate, why don’t you just take the guard all the way off instead of rubbing soap every now and then? Btw, love your videos on the 500, i personally think that they deserve the love that their older brothers tend to get.

Thanks mate. Lots more vids coming . Had heaps of backed up videos until my GoPro broke and recorded hours of footage without sound , so I had to wait for a replacement. With the belt, it’s not rubbing on the guard👍. I’ve spoken to a lot of 500 owners and all belts sit in a different spot unlucky for me mine sits on the outside of the “sprocket “ . Tried adjusting and moving it but it always finds its way back lol.

Temporary fix squeak will come back...best fix is to realign belt on pulleys.
