You're well versed at the mechanics of your bike/ motorcycles in general. Very well presented. Though I feel that you should have the defective part replaced by HD under their warranty (or is it that your warranty has lapsed?).

Thank you 😊. My warranty hasn't lapsed, but due to the lockdown all workshops were closed, i had bo choice but to fix it.

Excellent modif job ,did you report it to harley? They should recall such cases. I have 2006 street rod and having leak when engine is cold and suspecting wheep hole in water pump. Any idea ??? What could be?

I used motul as I had no choice, but o would recommend genuine HD coolant and oils

Pl share any experience, my bike is street rod ,and after 3 to 4 minutes starting in my garage suddenly I find the coolent is drain out from drain pipe which is situated under the engine, but no any abnormal indication in control panel ,what is the problem and how can I overcome and you share also which type of coolent I can use for that if Genuine Herlay Davidson coolent is not available,

Hi, if the coolant leaks there must be a leak in the system ull need to find where. Of it's draining from overflow could be due to pressure being excessively built, I used motul coolant as harley genuine wasn't available during lockdown. I haven't had any issues so far

The reason is not running the bike. Use the bike regularly atleast weekly twice or coolant will overflow. In my experience

did the thermostat housing screws feel that might have been a bit loose when you dismantled the assembly?

Not at all they had a loctite on em🙄
