I really like that color. Yeah the Go Pro position is not good on the bikes with full fairings, just nice view of Infotainment System :).

I would go with this bike as I refer the Batwing fairing. It gives good wind protection while still allowing good vision of the road around the front wheel. The main options I’d go for are heated grips ,heated seat and rider’s backrest. That’s plenty for me for now any.

Not a fan of the smaller crash bars takes away from lowers being a option which I think are great for long highway miles also Harley should have never gotten away from the hydraulic clutch!

I was wondering if Harley would do a redesign of their lowers to fit. You’d think they would. There is enough demand and they make good money on them. Maybe down the road? Agreed on the clutch. I liked the hydraulic better also. To the point that I’d do an aftermarket if I bought a new touring bike.

This same model is the first new Harley I've purchased since my 2000 Heritage Springer. Light years ahead of what I had. A lot of folks dis Harley Davidson, saying they are "out of touch". Not from where I'm sitting.

I have a 2018 S.G.S. Love it! Almost have 45,000 miles of smiles. Lots of accessories. Aux lights, daymaker, WHIM (that should be stock IMO), heated grips, Klockwerks windshield, highway pegs, rear crash bars, cool fan (Great for passenger) floor boards for passenger, Harley comfy seat ( a must have), rear top storage box with passenger backrest, passenger comfort arms, rear carry rack w/ LED, extra rear lighting, curved license plate holder. My bike came with the heel shifter stock. I’m a fan of that. Mine has the hydraulic clutch and I like it. Took me all of two minutes to get used to the almost all the way out friction zone. No big deal. There was a recall on a seal component in the hydraulic system. Covered under warranty. Allot of the stuff I put in I could have gotten with the Ultra model but I just love the Street Glide. Haven’t put on any stage kit or exhaust upgrade. Still undecided on that as my happy with the sound and performance . A note on the WHIM, if you want stereo with the wireless headset system(extra separate item) you need the H-D branded Sena system. Otherwise, even if it’s a Sena brand, you’ll get mono sound and possibly lose some other interconnectivity. I had a Non-H-D Sena system and luckily I was able to sell mine at 50% of original cost. Then bought the H-D brand Sena system. It’s great for use with the WHIM. In my business being able to take calls is a must so I like it for that. The cool fan; it works best in Auto mode. Set it forget it. It doesn’t cool the engine in traffic, it deflects heat from the engine and blows away downward which helps the passengers right foot from heat allot. Switching the pass. Pegs to floor boards helped also. Got the seal of approval from,”The one who must be obeyed” on the cool fan…. Heated grips; Even though I live in the south there are many times heated grips are great. Wouldn’t buy a new bike without it. All in all my Harley is fantastic! Is it the fastest bike I’ve ever owned? No. But it is a comfortable reliable interstate tourer and that’s what I wanted. A tool for every job. Peace….

I have a 2014 Firefighter Shrine 103 I also have a 2005 Softail Duece. Now the Duece has the gas gauge on the left of the tank and the actual gas filler cap on the right . My Street glide has the center gas cap in the middle of the console under the flip up lid. Seems to me Harley have been trying to save money 🤔 eg the air vent in the bat wing faring now doesn't come with a button that can turn any cold air off from coming through the fairing on a cold day and I believe I'm right in saying they've gone back to a clutch cable 😳 Instead of the smooth hydraulic clutch version like my Street glide. Trying to save production costs ? But still charge a premium price ?🤔My bike is Black also and I ❤️it . Just my 3 and a half cents ( for inflation)😂😂👍🇺🇸😎

If you wear a full helmet then try attaching the GoPro on your chin area of the helmet right below your visor. If not, then maybe a shoulder attachment with the GoPro on top of your shoulder.

Cool, the video & sound quality is good. You could hear your voice & the sounds of the motorcycle coming threw also. With both cameras, you could switch between your chest shot & handlebar mount as the secondary camera shots. Can’t wait to see.

I did the chin mount for mine (Shoei RF-SR). The gopro sticky strip gave out. Luckily while on the counter RIGHT AFTER A RIDE! I used Gorilla glue.

@@cd4917 I bought the blacked out, Stage II Torque Cam, Rinehart 4.5, Klockwerks Windshield, Kuryakyn Highway Pegs, Legends Revo A suspension, 1.25" Saddlebag Guards, Custom Dynamics with Magic Strobe, have to drop it off this week to have the 12" LA Coppers Twin Peaks handlebars put on, So far I have bought the Saddleman Carbon Fiber Sofa seat, haven't tried it yet, bought the San Diego Pro Saddlemen seat with backrest, haven't tried it yet, and the Mustang 79600 Solo seat with back rest and passenger back rest with backrest, haven't tried that either, I put on the Free Wheeler seat with a Mustang backrest as soon as I got it, when I figure out which 2 I like the best, the other 2 will go on Facebook Market Place. I highly recommend the 13" Legend Revo A suspension, 1000x better ride and control of the bike. Also ordered the Freedom Shield touring windshield, haven't received it yet, last will be an upgrade to the sound system with Amos and saddle lid speakers by NVS Audio in Roselle NJ, look them up online and KZbin, So I love It!!

I was really ambivalent about the clutches ... now that I've compared, either one is ok for me. I still say that H-D just took a step back anyway. Why not offer both and adjust the price accordingly? A cable clutch is less expensive, right? So offering this option to buyers would be a great mark of respect. What made me lean towards buying a Street Glide Special instead of a Standard are the additions (the glossy fairing, the extended cases, the RDRS, but above all the 114ci -1868cc- engine). Getting an FLHXS was on my bucket list. Seeing the road with her is another check mark on this list. Life is good for those who work hard to achieve their dreams with respect for others. Falling from a 2007 Yamaha V-Star 1300 to a 2021 H-D Street Glide Special, that will make me quite a change I guess!

I agree , buying the road glide gives you both worlds sport and cruiser cause of the way the fairing is mounted. If you park both bikes next to each other the road glide looks bulky , manly and the street glide looks feminine .

It's got a 114 and about 900 lbs... Wouldn't recommend for a new rider.

Just wondering if you have a preference between the fixed fairing or fork mounted fairings? Any REAL differences? Love the scheme of both bikes.

I personally do not. I've had dozens of guys argue both ways how one handles the wind better. I've also heard that the RG turns better bc it doesn't have the fairing weight. I've ridden all of my life and I'd be lying if I said I noticed a difference in either department. For me it comes down to looks, what do you think looks better, go with that. haha

@@throttleblip9854 Thank you for the response. I really appreciate it. I think when the time comes to upgrade the Victory, I will definitely give the RG a hard look. I love the fairing and how it looks from the rider position. I can deal with the reach to the touch screen doesn't seem like a big deal to me. Going to be looking at Indian and Harley. Like the looks of the Challenger, but after owning bikes that are out of production and experiencing the less than stellar after market parts, I am strongly leaning Harley because of that and the dealer network.
