I installed a Saddlemen Step Up seat on my 2019 Harley Davidson Road Glide Special. This seat will fit any 2008 on up Harley Davidson Touring bike. I did an in-depth review on the seat. As you mentioned the seat does require a bit of a break in period. Once that break in is done it will typically relax about 1/4 of inch. Also remember you can try it before you buy it at any of our seat center locations. Thanks!

I would definitely check out the asr by ciro. Adam Sandoval has put a lot of miles on Harley’s and designed the seat to keep the ride height as low as possible, while being super comfortable. Has a relief cut in for your tail bone, the sides are shaved down so your legs can get closer together to help with reaching the ground better. Watch his video on it.

I don’t know if you still review comments. I just installed my saddlemen seat on my Street glide. Did you remove the 2 screws that come through the fender to be able to put a solo seat on it? I can’t tell if they are making contact underneath, or if they will eventually rip the carpet underneath. Anyone who has an answer please shout out. Thanks

Way too high for me. I'm 5.7 as well. Gotta have control of the bike. I can't do that well, esp. in the city when I can't put my foot flush to the ground.

You should’ve just sent you stock seat to Meancitycycles and they could have done the same thing and lower you down and move you forward or back so you can be flat footed

You should look at Thunder max air ride suspension in will raise and lower the bike depending on your speed so when you stop you can flat foot and when your riding fast its at max height. I'm taller than you but I'm not very big and the stock seat is way to wide and puts my legs at a strange angle when I put my feet down an I mean its a heavy bike..theres a stop sign at the very crest of a hill near my house that mergs onto another road into a Y and somthing about that angle, or the high difference between one leg and another because I'm on such a slant but I've almost duffed it twice right there. 🙋‍♂️ Prolly looked like a monkey fucking a football to everyone driving by the other way 🤦‍♂️🤔
