Enjoy your old man. Mines been passed since 02. He bought me my first Harley it was the 1972 shortster 65 in blue. Then when one of his workers crashed on my dads bike and had to have his leg amputated he threw both bikes in the river and told me as long as I lived under his roof I’d never ride another motorcycle. Then shortly after high school graduation I bought a 1982 fxrs and have owned a Harley ever since. But seeing the two of you enjoying them together hits me in a good way. Ride safe and enjoy the old man.

i got 2012 triglide new for my wife and friends with madison hd in wi, he had one of his sales persons who is old school trike guy, came up with brackets like those and was selling to raise rear help in the bottoming out besides help in handling (bought in 2014ish). other nice part when got new rear tires, went up in size from factory, that made a difference in fuel mile to the better. i had issue with the first one put on, bolt holes was just a hair out of line and fought for like 2 hours, get to the other side, and was done in 10 minutes. don't know how that happened but was ok with it.

@EddieFresh33 жыл бұрын
@@ProfessionalMonkey I was doing a reverse bleed on the front brakes. Everyone told me to do it, because the bike has ABS and only Harley can flush the brakes now because of the ABS system. I bought a cheap syringe kit from Amazon labelled as a reverse brake bleed kit. I hooked the syringe to the bike, and even zip tied the hose onto the bleeder. I did not want the hose to fall off and spray fluid! The fitting on the syringe broke when I applied pressure to the syringe, and it shot brake fluid straight up to the ceiling. The fluid then rained on me and the bike. This was at like 10pm at night, so I started to rush to get the bike out of the garage. I wasn't wearing any shoes at the time, and I slipped and dropped the bike brake side down. Luckily I had a engine guard,but I also hit my garbage can with the front fairing. I managed to grab it off the ground and get it outside and started to hose it down. The fluid stained/ate the wrinkle black finish on the triple tree, primary case, engine, and dash. It etched the front turn signals, the plastics on the gauges and the air cleaner cover. It ate the clear coat on the frame, front pegs, small spot on the derby cover, and engine guard. The scratch on the fairing is minor. I also managed to scratch the handle bars on the can too. Insurance is coming out Wednesday to assess the damage. It also stained the ceiling of the garage too.

Hey great video. This is one of the upgrades that I have being done on my CVO right now. You are spot on the pricing. I was able to get the legend lifts and a shock upgrade when I bought my trike. The cost for me was about $700 installed. it was 200 for the lifts and 350 for the shocks and just under 200 labor (2 hours). You are also correct that lifting the rear of the trike moves the center of gravity forward and puts it just about between the cylinders instead of stock where the center of gravity is under your ass. Correcting the geometry makes a huge difference in how it steers. It makes the steering feel more stable at speed (takes away the slight wobble that you can feel).
@ProfessionalMonkey3 жыл бұрын
I wonder why its like that from the factory?
@ericsenard36863 жыл бұрын
@@ProfessionalMonkey well based on my engineering background, I would speculate that the mo-co designed it like that from the factory to give the trike more angularity with regards to overall stability to maximize the RDRS capabilities. Another way to think about this would be if you had a triangle on a flat plane parallel to the ground and level ( =stability). With a lift you give up minor stability factor and get drivability in return.

I'm almost 70 and changed the rear shocks on my 2020 Tri-Glide which wasn't a big deal. I installed a pair of Progressive shocks to improve the ride for my wife who always rides with me. We put over 300,000 miles on two wheelers until her brain cancer caused her to have seizures so we went to a Tri-Glide. Our thought was if she had a seizure on back of a two wheeler it might cause an accident injuring us and possibly others. On the Trike I should be able to pull over and take care of her. I traded my 2020 Trike in this month for a 2021 Tri-Glide because I liked the color of the 2021. We only put on 21,000 on the 2020. I talked the dealer in changing the shocks so I could have my Progressive shocks on my 2021. They only charged two hours labor to remove my progressive shocks and install the hydraulic shocks on the 2020 and remove the hydraulic chocks from my 2021 and install the progressive shocks on the 2021. I didn't care because it was included in the deal so It didn't really cost me anything, but on paper they charges two hours for changing the shocks on two trikes which I thought was a good deal.

Greetings. I have a suggestion for your father. Have him test ride a Can Am Spyder. The y pattern of having two wheels up front provide way better stability in corners and you don't feel the vibrations through the handlebars from the crown of the road. I know this from riding on my mother's Spyder. Food for thought.

Bought a Spyder RTS for my wife. Definetly an upgrade ride handling wise over a HD trike but the overall excitement for the looks and the sound of the bike gets left behind which often is a factor for an ex-HD 2 wheel rider.
