Great cover. Nice sounding TRX cymbals. As others have already said, get that kick drum up higher in the mix. Need to hear that 24" beast! :)

You should list all of your cymbals in your description along with which kit from DW you're using. Just helps for some drummer to know what equipment you're using.

Great job! Love the song and the cover. Did anyone else have trouble hearing the kick?
@HarleydeWinter6 жыл бұрын
Oh! That Guy. Thanks so much! The kick is sitting on the lower end of the mix. You’ll feel it through some good speakers.
@ohthatguy.1406 жыл бұрын
That's fair. Laptop speakers are not the best. Snare sounds great tho.

Ya playing is so clean and free flowing around the kit. Aweosme licks and chops! Just out of curiosity how many times would you listen to the song to break down the drum parts, like would you write the score out or just remember by ear? You seem to be catching all the fills spot on. Bro, aweosme job keep up the drumming and vids!
@HarleydeWinter6 жыл бұрын
Hey David! Thanks for the kind words! I usually play songs by ear and spend the time to nail the parts in the song, listening to it constantly so that I can commit the parts to my memory even when I'm not behind the kit. These days if I'm pressed for time to learn music, I will create a cheat sheet chart.

Hey turn that bass drum up! I can barely hear it in the mix. Great cover man. Keep it up!

it's there, believe me!

Mix sounded too dark - if you'd brighten it a little bit up to give it just more air - it would be just perfect - i can barely hear high frequencies even of cymbals. Anyway - kit is really fits the style of music and your playing. Even i'm not into this kinda new metal - must admit it's a very tasty cover. Keep it up, man!

yrussq though x and vlx sheds and vlx+ sound awesome behind the kit, their just not going to cut through the mix and record. I went all hvlt standard shells and t sound higher behind the kit but they record as low as they go and keep tone.
