Why do they keep saying Ivy left him? It was a hard choice for her, maybe it was even a choice she would have regretted later, but she made her choice. She chose to marry him, she was going to say yes and he said no because she was so hesitant. They actually decided to give him a LOT of dignity that way. He broke up with her, and now they are just ignoring that for some reason? That is a pretty big plot hole. If anything, that should be why she is so nervous about being in public. Sure we know that she was hesitant, and he said no for her sake, but no one else does. All they saw was Kite Man leaving her at the wedding. He just flew away without her. They probably think, " Even Kite man is too good for her. he just left her at the wedding." She must be MUCH lower on the totem pole than he is now.
