@@protoindoeuropean It doesn't. You can only fit so many people into the midfield and selection can depend on what playstyle you're aiming for. Do the Hawks need another big bodied mid when Newcombe and Nash are already in the side? you could argue he should be ahead of Nash and I'd partly agree but with the lack of experience at the club, especially in the midfield, Nash's grunt and physicality is basically needed or at least preferred at this stage. Besides the fact the Hawks are still very early into a rebuild, they're still figuring out what works best for them. You may be right and it might be a stellar prediction someday, but in my opinion it's well too early to make calls on a young player who's only four rounds into his tenure at his new club.

The club may not be a powerhouse but they have a solid membership base of 50000 members and they will rise up the ladder in coming seasons once they start winning games. It's funny how people today say they would rather play for a rich club the elitism in that attitude kind of sucks
