Harley Street Glide 2014 Timing Chain Tensioner Replacement - Part 3 Cam Bearing Replacement

This video is a kind of documentary, about how I replaced the Timing Chain Tensioner at my bike with a TC103 Motor.
The reason why I did this was on one hand to check the wear on these parts and when already everything is disassmbled, why not replacing them...
This is Part #3 where I disassemble the cam plate, oil pump, cam shafts and replace the cam bearings.
The tool used for cam bearing replacement was purchased at MBS Manufacturing and it worked fine for the job.
The new cam bearings are original Harley bearings but the Screamin Eagle version.

What was reason you changed out inner cam bearings? Could you see wear or decided to do it just cuz you were already in. Probably not worthwhile purchasing bearing tool for doing job only one time.....for myself anyways.

you can buy those bearing pullers/ installers pretty cheap and yes it is worth doing. Harley bearing are crap compared to a set of Timken bearings. and of course if you do this job right youve already have your rockers off. its a great time to change the umbrella value, breathers and install some rocker lockers. also id check wear on lifters cams, ect.....youve got a 160$ worth of gaskets, 60$ tensioners, ive seen the tool fo under 60$

?? You go through all the trouble to take the tank off, the top end, put new bearings, take apart the oil pump, install new complete hydraulic cam tensioners and are worried about the lifters falling in instead of inspecting them on a bike with 62,000 miles?? Plus all you needed was new cam tensioner shoes for like $25 a pair not a pair of entire new hydraulic tensioners.... wow and what's up with marking the cam and pinion shaft sprockets with the cam and pinion shaft ? They only go on one way.

how's the condition of the inner tensioner? same wear as the outer?

Hard to say and would be only a subjective statement, but you can see it in the next part I recorded.

As I did that job, it had around 61K miles or 99K Km on the ODOmeter.
