I now own a 2024 Can Am Spyder F3 Limited. I thought I wanted a Harley so I went to the Dealership and tried a new Harley trike. It felt to me like driving a big red three wheeler. I felt totally uncomfortable in the corners. Like it was trying to push over diagonally. I decided then because of health issues that I would never be able to ride again. I started looking into the spiders. Last week I was researching them online. The next day I seemed to see them everywhere. I pulled into the grocery store and one pulled up beside me. I started talking to him about if it was anything like driving a Snowmobile. He was from Canada and owned snowmobiles too. He assured me it was almost the same feel. It was settled the next day I went out and bought one. It is GREAT. For the record I grew up in Maine with Snowmobiles. Keep up the great videos.

Only on a bike twice in my life and both rides as a passenger. That was as a teen. Been wanting a cycle of my own all my life. Finally decided I was going to make it happen. Thought Harley was it, then started looking at 3 wheel bikes. May 02, '24, after researching a very little bit and watching a couple of your videos. 64 y/o June 28, and I couldn't be happier at this point! Yeah, multiple health problems too, but my wife trusts me on this bike. We plan Sunday A M drives and just feel so exillerated that when we get home we start talking about the next ride. I call her my biker chick! I am very confident that she is safe AND she is talking about a separate ride for herself. It's awesome fun and tension release! Thanks for Your videos!!! Ride Blessed!

Good to see Harrisonville, MO on KZbin. I had a H-D Road Glide 3 for 10 months and it sucked. I traded it for a Spyder F3 S and in 2months have put more miles on it than the H-D.

Agree with the comfort points. Just traded my 2013 Harley Ultra Classic for a 2023 Spyder RT Limited. Perfect for commuting, but where I really find the difference is when I’m riding with my wife as a passenger. I’m not as tired after a long day trip on the Spyder as I would be with the Ultra. I love not having to balance when coming to a stop and even as I’m riding, it’s just so much easier to control. Again, it is simply so much more comfortable. I do love the smoothness and performance of the 1330 Rotax engine.

Hi PoT! I took the test ride last year here in Texas AFTER I actually bought my Spyder! I was a little frustrated that the dealerships here couldn't let me test ride one, but the great ride we did from the New Braunfels dealership event up River Road and back on the highway just nailed it! I finally rode my 2023 Spyder RT Limited (a little over one year old) back down River Road and it was a beautiful day and experience!

Good video. The Can Am Spyder RT Limited caught my eye years ago, I have had 5 back surgeries and I cannot push a 2 wheel bike around. What stopped me from buying one earlier was spending $20K on a toy. But now that I am retired and I am not getting any younger, now is the time. The newer 2020 and up RT Limited are pretty much all decked out. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and ride safe.

Thanks for the video! As far as upgrades to my 2023 RT Limited, I have done a few, but the first I did was purchased the lights bundle from SlingMods so that my front fenders, both sets of running boards, and rear lights for the "blank" insets add to my visibility. I have had the Baja Ron sway bar and linkages installed, along with wheel balancers. My next big purchase and install next year will be the Elka shocks for all three wheels.

Having had multiple bikes, like a Ryker and a Harley and a Honda DCT, I would would have to say the new larger Spyder is the way to go for comfort , safety, and being able to enjoy the ride/scenery. Baja Rons is a must and also a set of good elka shocks don't hurt. Enjoy. Only down side is trying to maintain the Spyder yourself. Like oil change etc..

I agree with all your comparison facts. I’m fortunate that I have a Harley Freewheeler and a Spyder RTL. Let me say I love my Harley but it rides like an old truck compared to the Lexus feel of the Spyder. If you love your Harley you put up with things that are not an issue on the spyder. My wife rides with me on both but prefers the spyder and so do I but occasionally I need a Harley fix. Members of both Spyder and Harley Clubs and enjoy our friends in both. Keep y our videos coming and yes the baharon sway bar will make a nice difference and switched to led headlights for night driving.

Same Spyder. Bought it brand new. Only have 55,000 miles to date. Covid and other situations prevented doing more riding. Did do a xctry from Las Vegas to Florida one year. Had a perplexing recent issue where it would shift on its own to a lower gear and at stoplights it would go into neutral and would not shift into gear. No codes were showing any faults. Finally after 3 months the dealer and I narrowed it down to s short in the gear selection system. After replacing the gear position sensor( no help) then finally replaced the left handle bar gear selector assembly. No problems since then. I've recently installed the Pedal Commander and what a difference it has made. The fun is back! Anyway safe riding!!

Hey there, I just made the switch to 3 wheels from 2. I had my Kawasaki Vulcan Drifter 1500 converted to a Front wheel trike last winter. It has taken me a while to get used to 3 wheels but its coming along. It has kept me in the saddle. I did my Iron Butt in 2000 as a 2 wheeler on the Drifter. If I get confident enough I will go again on 3. I weigh 300 lbs and am 68 yrs old so pushing a 2 wheeler around anymore and balance problems actually helped me go for 3. Had it done by Endeavor Trikes up in Minnesota. Check him out. Small shop but great products.

I can't wait to drive the spyder. My wife used to ride 2 wheelers but hasn't rode for probably 10 or more years. She has used it almost every day since she got it! I has a 2018 RTL and put 10k miles on it. Can Am was years behind on technology (I'm sure they've caught up by now). There were several reasons I purchased a Goldwing DCT with a Motor Trike Conversion. Got significantly more power, equally as comfortable a ride as the Can Am, modern world technology, no need for premium gas, no replacing the rear tire every 10K miles, and more, but I'll stop with that. I wouldn't trade back.

The current Goldwin was redesigned in 2018.. I actually test drove a CSC Conversion 2 weeks ago. Wasn’t a big fan. Bought a 2024 Spyder Sea to Sky. Tech is great. 10” screen. Don’t think you can compare the tech now to the Goldwin… Spyder for the win. Way more comfortable. Great low torque. Also, how can you compare a Trike that is made at the factory, by a legit company to something that was converted at someone’s shop… you can’t be serious, dude. Honda doesn’t make trikes. 🤷🤷😂

But ....im having a harder time now with coming to a stop and sometimes the legs don't react as quickly as they should probably because of nerve damage. So I'm not as safe, especially at low speeds as i used to be. I've thought about 3 wheels but i really just didn't like the idea of the TriGlide. Hallo…

Hello! Thanks for the comment. I have a friend who rides with his wife and a sidecar, or did. She has found that the RT is much more comfortable than the sidecar ride for sure. And, when you add custom arm bars to the passenger area, it's even more comfortable. Also, per your comment about centrifugal force when cornering, I am betting that putting a more firm sway bar in like the baja ron sway bar, would help that feel even better and corner better too. Ride safe over there!

Looks like a Sea 2 Sky?

Mine is a 2020 RT Limited. Wasn't convinced the Sea and Sky is worth the price difference yet. I'm sure I'll look at it again at some point. Ride safe!

@@RideBlessed My wife has a 2022 RT and I have a 2023 Sea to Sky. They are basically the same accept for the paint and color of the wheels. The 2024 has apple car play. I added Apple CarPlay aftermarket to her bike and my wife loves it. Not unless you have to have the Sea to sky the LT is a better deal in my opinion. both seats are plenty comfortable. As a side note I have 5 bikes in the garage and last summer I was ending taking her bike more often than my bikes. She said to me - why don't you get your own. So I did and pick up the Sea to Sky in late March. Already have 1800 mile on and one trip to Moab UT.

@@RideBlessed we bought the Sea 2 Sky because the seat was much more comfortable, we liked the green with gold wheels and I knew the price of Spyders was going up, so the value was there. Dealer was only alloted 2 that year so the 21's are scarce. Since have added movable handlebars, vents, aftermarket backrest and armrests. Covered sidepanels in clear plastic to protect from foot scuffing and covered center console with protector covering to keep from scratching as we ride 2 up a lot. The lighted floorboards were pricey but increases bike visability, Main thing is she is paid for. Still going to change out to a Baha tie rod and and more led lights to back. The downer for me is wheel alignment. None of the dealers near me do it.

To each his own. After 4 back surgeries and now basically limited to a Trike or Spyder, I will consider a 16+ hour ride a nice achievement for myself

Nice video. Comfort is #1. Oh yeah, having a trailer is kinda a necessity. Even if you don’t travel much, it can be used to go make groceries and hauling other stuff around for just you.
