I've replaced mine twice. First time was total PITA, mainly due to the rubber hold down strap. I took it off, and played hell getting it back on. The second time, I left the rubber hold down strap in place, and slid the old battery out. Was able to stretch the rubber strap over the new battery, and slide it in. Much faster and easier.

On a 2008 Night Rod (maybe all 2008+?) model there is an additional 7th clip on the rear end of the Air filter cover. Just an FYI.

The ECM would go into default and it will run.

It’s only an intake air temp sensor. Very different from a mass air flow sensor. That’s why you can run the airbox “topless” with the sensor just nearby, and it runs great.

I'm trying to remove my battery on my 02 V-Road and the alarm goes off every time I disconnected a terminal. I can't find any information anywhere for disabling the immobliser. Anybody out there who knows?

It’s not that difficult. And you can also jump start any motorcycle using the trickle charger cable already in place. I made up a unit to go bike to bike. Works great
