Harley VRod Slipper Clutch Replacement

You may have seen this bike in the background but I finally get it in the shop and get it fixed up before the end of the year.

All those fibers and metal particals in the oil were most likely helping the clutch work. Auto trany's will often fail right after an oil change as well😕

You should have shown the clutch install on the bike

So tell me. What's the benefits of a Slipper clutch? I put in a 9 plate clue in mine years ago. Still works great though it doesn't want to dissingage all the way in first. Seems to pull a little bit. Should i change to a slipper??

A slipper clutch allows the clutch to slip between shifts to match rpms quickly. If all is well, I wouldn’t change it until the next replacement. It doesn’t sound like the cause of your issue

It's really not a huge issue just atad hard getting into neutral.

you never took apart the plates at the end

You’re right, it was uneventful though. The plates still had friction material but were heat marked pretty badly. Glad I changed it out
