I'm a new rider and Iron 883 owner. I have to give you your flowers because you have some of the most exciting ride-along footage on KZbin, not because of the scenery but the way you handle the motorcycle. I only wish I could see the gears change, I'd bet I'd learn a lot from the way you handle the twists and turns.

Thanks, I appreciate the comments 👍 watch tutorial videos on KZbin for body position, trial braking... Your riding will come along a lot quicker, that's what I did. I'd only been riding for 1 year when I took this trip. Motojitsu on KZbin has good tutorials to watch. Ride safe👍

I'm planning to get this model, how come there is a lot of space between your engine and the fuel tank? also the rear tire seems you also have change, what is the size of your rear tire?
@harley883uk42 жыл бұрын
I've done I lot of mods to the bike, I've done a tank lift mod on it that's why there is the space between the engine and tank. The rear tyre is standard size but I switched to avon cobra chrome tyres. They look and ride so much better than the standard one that come with the bike👍

So assuming your getting the tunnel to Calais, this is how I done it. Day 1: Calais to Oberkirch Germany took about 9 hours with stops, I stayed there the first night. Long boring motorway ride but wanted to get to Italy as quickly as possible. Day 2: Oberkirch to Innsbruck took about 6 hours I think. First half boring motorway but finally you will start to see mountains eventually! I stayed the night in Innsbruck. For these 2 days I just used Google maps to get there as I wanted the fastest route. Day 3: This is where it starts to get fun. I stayed at a place called rider hotel in obereggen Italy in the Dolomites. This was about 3 hours from Innsbruck. I can't recommend this place enough! Any direction you take out of this hotel is just amazing mountain roads. Its a motorbike ran hotel, they have a catalog of routes to pick from and they give you GPS files to put straight in your sat nav. I used an app called calimoto for a sat nav while I was out there, it was awesome. Choose a location like Lake garda, stevie pass or what ever and let this app direct you there, that's what I done, you won't be disappointed! By the way this app is shit in the UK, it just takes you to shit little back roads but out there it was awesome. On the way back I did most the journey on a vehicle train and that is the way to do it! Expensive but saves pretty much 2 days of shit riding. This is how I would do it again: Calais to dussledorff Germany, that's about 3 hours. Get on the vehicle train that night, leaves at about 8pm I think. Sleep on the train over night arrive in Innsbruck at 9am the next day. 3 hours ride and your in the dolomites bosch done happy days! Trust me the Dolomites is where its at! No traffic just pure amazing roads and scenery. Barely saw any police and if you do I think they are pretty relaxed compared to say Switzerland where it sounds so bad I don't think I'd even bother. Hope this helps👍
