For anyone who doesn't know, the bike he was looking at @ 1:30 is a perfect example of the way a lot of Harley owners would build their own bikes back in the 1970's-1980's. It was quite common for guys to take customization and personalization to the extreme by stripping their motorcycles down all the way and then modifying the hell out of it. If they didn't like the way their bike looked, or the geometry of certain parts of it, or anything else that they didn't like, they would change it and quite often, the change would be extreme. For example... If they had a favorite motor that they preferred, they would use it instead of a newer stock one. They were a very specific type of Harley owner that rejected society and would build their bikes to reflect their personalities... and to make their bikes badass. The bike in the video has an old shovelhead motor, a tank from a different bike, the springer front-end from another, and the whole thing was built for functionality and to be practical in design. Looking at that bike is like looking back 30-40yrs into the past here in America!

In the states roads that narrow are called sidewalks . My FXD is currently electrically challenged so was nice to enjoy a ride vicariously. If I were to get a new bike I'm torn between a Breakout & a Indian Springfield. One is about the coolest looking factory bike you can buy & the other is super comfortable for longer rides. Lot more bikes in Switzerland than I would've guessed.

2016 was the LAST YEAR FOR DYNA's 103 Engine !!! ( and the FLD too ) On the right side, My air filter says High Output, other 103 engines were not. I dont see that on many of the air filters. Well its Dec 2020 and the 2016 FLD I bought and have had for sale for over a year has not had any buyers. Mine has 2600 miles and is in 99% shape with lots of extra chrome and a HD music system and Crashbar. 3 engine oils replaced and stored in a heated shed. I priced Mine at 12K and put it on mostly local places like FB marketplace and LSN. Only a few offers to trade or lowballs. With 28% interest from Harley, it is $368 a month and sure would like to get rid of that payment. I rode from My house to the Dragons tail and back, and now My recent hip replacement and age has Me riding a 2008 XL-1200L with forward controls and its great for the short trips I take now. If Your interested in buying a 2016 with only 2600 miles and in mint condition, look Me up.
