You could use the 2wd position on the overdrive for a front dig. Could definitely be useful to hear position the rear on an obstacle

I'm still getting back up to speed with the crawling world after a quiet 18 months, but as soon as I saw this today I used your link to the vanquish site and ordered one. I cannot wait to play with this. Have been using vanquish gear since 2012 or so and love it. This thing looks amazing, and that price? Josh you have every reason to be excited to share this one. It's nice to see vanquish put out a product that is not only budget conscious but it's also technically advanced. I think you guys have got a real winning combination with that transmission. The bodies the real selling point for it from my standpoint and the fact it's got portals is just an added bonus. Definitely going to be the next kit I purchase

This looks great. A few more parts that are molded plastic and it's that much less expensive than previous VS4-10s, and it has the trick new transmission as well? What's not to like? I guess it could be 6th scale, but nothing's perfect. lolol

done i love this car, my first overdrive and DIG funktion, the steeringangel, i am so happy with this car, using 4s with a mambaX 2200 kv system, a 35 kg normal steeringservo and 2x12kg lowprofil servo from amazon with metal servohorns, lights from somewhere in ??? i´m so happy with this car, josh for president👍👍

Sweet. More affordable Vanquish option with awesome usable features and no Jeep body. Never knew selectable overdrive could be an option but happy it is. One of the more useful features I've seen in years. Love Vanquish, great job as usable guys!

scx6 will be delivered to me soon, seemed a good entry to 1/5 ish truck to me, vanquish should learn make licensed bodies too, the tires are pretty weak - i was not impressed at all with them as with generic odd vs4 not licensed body

The body design and the transamission look great, you can see the thought and engineeeing that vanquish have put into this. For me though, Vanquish is all about machined aluminium, so im hoping that Vanquish will release a deluxe version with aluminium axles,.

Looks great Josh and Vanquish, think this means we'll get to see more than Traxxas an Axials on the trails. I really do like the solution with the transmission, the stress on the transmission while trail driving is the main reason that I haven't tried over drive before since trail driving is what I do the most. In a way I don't like this kit because I've been looking forward to treating myself to a nice fancy VS4 kit for my upcoming 40th birthday but on the other hand this makes them more obtainable :)

Will the transmission and axles be sold separately. I have an ultra and want the transmission for sure. Also would be nice to know there is a back up for axles if there is ever a need. The way I drive the ultra will make most vanquish fans cringe lol.

You can easily mount other bodies but you likely won’t get all the body mounting system benefits that are had with the kit body.

Very excited about those bumpers! I run the old vanquish bumpers on most of my trucks. Been one of the best deals in rc. Haven’t used them on trucks needing narrow bumpers. As soon as theses are available, I will be cleaning out someone’s stock! Well done Vanquish!

The vanquish trucks and and all of their aftermarket parts are always beautiful and perform well but the but the variable overdrive overdrive is next level. I am super impressed with that period period I know it is just a 2 speed transmission for the front drive line But it is unknown is another step towards scale realism. Pretty impressive to say the leasthey the least. It's not something I necessarily need but but knowing it exists makes me happy

Did vanquish specifically tell you not to use the word plastic when you spoke about the axles? That was a pretty careful dance around the word. Looks like plastic axles in the front as well

I guess I just use the word molded in place of plastic. Probably because we specifically machine plastic parts as well. When I say molded I mean to specify that they are molded plastic as to not make people think we are machining plastic instead. I’m trying to give more information, not less.

I ordered my phoenix portal from tower hobbies and some of my machined gears for the overdrive won't fit the bearing inside of it.

I was always held back from buying a VP pro or ultra because of the initial price tag. I know the quality was there but that's a real sting to the wallet for me. This however is a done deal, No questions asked, definitely will own. Love it.

Question: not a single source online mentions if the diffs are locked or open or switchable, not a word. Can you please make a clear statement on how the diffs are set up from the factory and what upgrades can be done to modify factory set up? We know that Axial scx 10.3 comes with always locked diffs, and the full TRX4 has a switchable set up (awesome for better turning and reducing tension, also super fun while switching during a climb), however Vanquish is silent about this feature. Why?

I’ve ran unlocking diffs before but would much rather have the much smaller ring gears that the Vp and SCX axles use instead of them. For example when we compete in scale competitions, nobody ever uses unlocking diffs because they don’t really offer an advantage that supersedes it’s downsides of size and weight. It’s not something I ever use on my TRX4’s either.
