The Losi Tenacity platform has a lot of performance potential. I have an older Tenacity SCT converted into sort of an 8th scale buggy and it's awesome! Light, nimble and bulletproof with a few mods. A lot of TLR Ten SCTE 3.0 parts swap over and are huge improvements over stock. The TLR steering set up replaces all the bushings with bearings and stronger plastics. I think I'll pick one of these up too. Thanks for the review!

Dude, since I first saw this after I checked my email after I got home, I liked it. I'm definitely going to have to get myself one at some point. Won't be a first batch purchase this time though as I JUST purchased a Losi 5ive T 2.0. Lol. I purchased it Monday or Tuesday, can't remember which. 4s capable seems like a bit extreme for a 1/10 scale buggy style RC, at least to me. I'm basing that opinion on running my Tenacity DB Pro on 2s. 2s is pretty dang fast in Losi buggies. If I do get the Lasernut, it probably won't be till next year. I've got a build in order and a boat to get. Both very high priority. The Losi 5T is my highest priority, the ProBoat Sonicwake is second, then my build is third. My build is a Losi Super Baja Rey, brand new, unused, not even turned on yet. I purchased two when they were on sale, BND, and gave one to my brother. I've got a Super Rock Rey that fills the void of the SBR, I just couldn't pass it up for the price. Now I've got a plan for it. I was going to get the Traxxas XO-1, but decided instead to use the money I would have put into the purchase of the XO-1 into the SBR. I'll be getting myself a R-SNAKE 16s ESC and mating it to a TP Power motor. I won't ever run 16s because battery fitment will be a little too complicated. I know I can fit two 6 cell lipos into a SRR battery compartment so 12s will be max I will run. Daily running will be done on 8s and occasionally 12s. Why I'm going for a 16s ESC rather than a 12s ESC is to try to not put as much stress on the electronics as running max voltage does. Also gives me a little leeway to change settings (like punch) or batteries, without fear of cooking the ESC. Anyways. Both paint schemes on the new Lasernut look awesome and if the time comes, I'll be ok with either. I prefer the black one with the carbon fiber look over the blue, but I won't be disappointed with the blue version (I think the blue has a carbon fiber look too, just the "red" version is more appearant.

Nice review! But I have to say it: KV doesn't stand for Kilo Volts. K is a constant that multiplies to the voltage (K x V) to get the approximate no-load RPM of the motor per volt. That 1900KV on a 3s for example we could consider 12V, so you expect the motor to spin around 23000RPM (12x1900) without any load! This buggy seems to be a very go to, it's basher blood in something that can hit trails. Sounds like there is no bad terrain for that thing.

In your opinion which would be best, Axial Capra and upgrade ability, or the Laser Nut and some minor fixes ? or is that apples and oranges? That is, does the Capra fill the void between a Crawler and a Basher ? I just got a Gen 8 Axe for crawling and I love it, but getting back into RC has me feeling the racing itch to. I guess I have to decide if I wand to Bash More, or just go fast between rocky Terrain. Building a crawlscape in back yard, would like to add a Rally Style Single track Around the perimeter of the fence and wind through the trees incorporating part of the crawl zone as part of track and as Joker Lap. And then there is the Baja Rey, too many good vehicles to pick from.
