You lucky guy. The Losi Lasernut is such a great car. Great job showing it. ❤❤ Nice job clearing the ramp.
@rayv8823 жыл бұрын
I'm sure you probably figured it out but whenever you jump control the break and the throttle and you can control the vehicle. If your RC is gonna nose dive give it throttle and it'll bring the back end down. If it looks like it's gonna flip backwards hit the brake and it will bring the front end down and then you can hit the throttle again and it will level it out.
@batsonelectronics4 жыл бұрын
I imagine these come with 20 or 25 wt oil in the shocks. Buy some shock oil and put in some 35wt or 40wt oil in the shocks before you jump and it should go so much better. Go 1 or 2 levels stiffer springs in the front as well to lift the front on ramp exit. It is so much easier to hit brakes to bring the nose down than hard gas to bring it up. Seriously, if you can, the shock oil alone will make a huge difference. ( any brand is good, Losi or Associated ) There is too much weight transfer to the rear right now and the oil will slow it down. The proper weight oil in the shocks and then 3000 to 10,000 weight in the diffs, will make such a huge difference is how controllable these cars/trucks are. With essentially open diffs all around, it is hard to put the power where you want it. With the right setup, you can make the rear 60%, the front 40% and that makes driving it so much easier and predictable. I raced in a few National level races in my 15 years, a properly setup cheap car/truck is better than a top dollar crappy setup all the time.
@grim4this4 жыл бұрын
I am not sure if you are aware of this or not. When your car is in the air if its nose down give it some gas in the air and the nose will lift ( think 2ch plane ) if the nose is in the air then tap the brakes to level it for landing, you may need a lot of throttle to pick up the front but you will need very little brake to lower the front. Good luck, God bless and have fun.

I own both. In my opinion yes it’s more realistic and durable. On my arrma 3S typhon I always break the arms on it u should expect to buy the rpm arms. The lazernut is about the same speed typhon bit faster. You can ramp it but don’t do flips as it might break the headlights. In durability lazernut all the way. Speed typhon all the way. I have a Losi Rock Rey with a Vaterra center diff locker and 500K front diff oil. It has a constant squeak squeak squeak as it's driving. The squeak speeds up and slows down with the motor speed. I have completely pulled it back apart and cleaned out everything and scraped the gears clean but the squeak sound remains. It does not change with load. I tried the motor alone and it is not from that. I also tried hand spinning as much as possible while apart and was unable to replicate by hand. Not spinning fast enough I assume. Any ideas or people I could ask. Have checked some forums but most are a different noise then mine.
@SebastianLong4 жыл бұрын
The technique I use to find a squeak is to squirt WD-40 in the areas I think it might be one at a time. I put a charged battery in it and either take the wheels off or tie it to a secure point with the wheels off the ground. I turn up the throttle trim enough to make the wheels turn with moderate speed and squirt the joints. When you squirt the spot that is squeaking, it will stop. That point then gets the grease or oil. More often than not I've found the bearings in the hubs are the culprit and it's understandable why. They get dirty more than any other bearings and are usually spinning at a higher speed than other bearings. Hope this helps.
@garettbodel30024 жыл бұрын
@@SebastianLong if you have a Dollar Tree around where you live. They have a knock off WD-40. I grab like four of them every time I go in there. And before and after everyone I spray the bearings in the wheels. The shock and where the differential is on both sides and where the A-Arms connect. Pretty much anything that's a moving Pod give it a shot. After you run give it a quick wit with a tall toothbrush. And then zap it with some more of that WD-40. It really helps my guarantee it. And plus the WD-40 so cheap at the Dollar Tree. You're not wasting a ton of money by spraying your truck before and after every run. Also keeps you from getting rust and shit
@thisandthat4544 жыл бұрын
@@SebastianLong Thanks Lane. Yes I hung the car and slowly disconnected things and also lubricated them as I went to locate the issue. The issue is the bearings in the center hub. Wrong, the DB Pro is tougher, trust me, I own both. The smaller, lighter DB Pro wins over the bigger, heavier Lasernut using the same parts.
@SebastianLong4 жыл бұрын
I've had a lot of bad luck with my DB Pro. So much in fact that it's been broken for at least 4-5 months. First run I broke a shock and lost the spring perch, second run I broke a rear hub/axle carrier. Both were tough luck or bad driving. The last issue (which has kept it on the shelf for as long as it has been) is pretty sure the motor itself. It sometimes drives itself or doesn't respond to transmitter inputs, then other times it won't move at all and the ESC has a flashing red led. I still have to get the diagnosis for sure, but I've moved the motor wires and it would drive fine. I need to connect a motor that I know works to the ESC and make 100% sure it isn't the ESC and I also have to do the same to the motor connecting it to an ESC I know works. I don't have another RC that uses 4 mm banana plugs. Everything else I own electric uses either 6.5 mm or 8 mm banana plugs so I've got to wait till I buy another smaller scale RC with 4 mm plugs or take it to the nearest hobby shop to have them diagnose it for me.
