If someone came over and wanted to know about my plants, I'd immediately show them the pothos and dragon tree that I inherited from my grandma, who was one of my very favorite people and dearest friends (I joke that God sent me 60 years after her because we would have been too much trouble if we were from the same generation.) She passed away this year on Mother's Day. 😔 I'd probably brag about how well the dragon tree is doing because when I got it, it was in a pot with no drainage and the roots were complete mush. I was so determined to nurse it back to health and now it has a second branch 🤗

Regarding the orchids - make sure that they're potted into orchid bark and not normal compost or just moss and then check the roots before watering them - only water when the roots look grey/silver to avoid overwatering and I usually let it soak in water for 15-30min when that happens. Make sure you don't forget to take them out of the water because the worst thing you can do to them is overwater, but as long as you're careful not to do that you're good! 😃 excited to hear more orchid updates!

If you decide to chop up your albo, you should try the air layering propagation method where you pack soil/sphagnum on the node then wrap it up so it’ll root before you cut it from the mama! And you could do a some kind of time lapse video and show us progress every few days. It would be really cool to watch ❤️❤️

I'm figuring out which are my favorites which has been really fun. I'm going to keep watching your channel because you talk often about propagating and you show so many different varieties of houseplants. I want to learn how to propagate and share these beauties as well. It's such a beautiful gift to give someone. Thank you for the nice video :) What I learned from my grandma about orchids is that it is really important they don’t stay in water to long (she bottom watered them for max 30mins), because they breath with their roots. Also orchid pots are usually transparent because they have chloroplast in they roots (needed for photosynthesis as in leaves). Best don’t keep them in a dark pot, instead the roots should get light as well :)

Keeping track of when I last treated them and the number of times I treated them was so difficult to remember. I recently made a Google Calendar just for that purpose, and now I don't stress about my plants at all, I can just enjoy them. Just a little tip that may help someone else. Oh, and even though I have had plants for years, I couldn't survive without my water meter.

The plants I’m always showing or talking about with people when they come over are my Rex Begonias, Cebu Blues, Micans, and my Hoyas (who am I kidding - I show off all my plant babies to anyone who will listen 😂)

autumn.m. rich ...My locale Walmart had a beautiful, full, cebu blue in a hanging basket and I am still kicking myself in the ass for not getting it! I picked it up, commented on how gorgeous it was AND THEN PUT IT BACK! Ahhhhh! Whhhhhy!?

I repot my phals loosely in sphagnum on a couple inches of pebbles or glass marbles in clear glass pitchers. I fill the pitcher with water every week or two, let it sit for 10 or 15 minutes, then pour out the water. They're all doing great.

I would show every new leave and would explain why every plant is standing where 😂🙈

I suffer from a lot of tight back and neck muscles which give me headaches and migraines. When I feel like this i wonder around my plants like Harli and afterwards i feel better and happier 😊
