Harlow is a particularly unique place for wildlife. I knew it after the building but can imagine it even better before. I recognised Freshwaters in the video. This was an interesting place before they built bungalows on 'Danger keep out' as it was once known as. This is the oldest video on Harlow I have seen. Thanks for uploading it.

I was born here in 1953 along with my 3 sisters. We lived there until 1960 and then migrated to Australia. I prefer the footage of the hamlets before the area became Harlow. The architecture is absolutely depressing.

Harlow was a nice town in the early days, it’s changed a lot, not for the better

Can this film be physically obtained through the library or council? My grandparents watched some and I'd love to get it on DVD or VHS for them.

I don’t like the architecture of the new towns - Harlow, Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead and Basildon, to name a few. All the houses in those towns look the same. Architects offer the same bland designs for housing projects today. Give me an old characterful building any day.
