First up, he is of course the sweetest, most adorable little guy, and your family has all the fun ahead ❤ I have a few tips about the few little, perfectly, perfectly normal issues that he has 😊 Please don't follow the advice people are giving, to walk him on a collar instead of a harness. A collar puts pressure on many sensitive areas, and can lead to multiple health issues in later life. Particularly as he's a sausage: they are prone to spinal issues. A harness is a great way to mitigate some of this risk. But you have plenty of good points on your side. Rocket is very young. Puppies his age shouldn't be going on long walks yet anyway. All his requirements for outside socialisation can be fulfilled using a combination of his buggy, and loose runs where it's safe, while you put in the practise on his leash work at home. Because the simple fact is, it's much more effective to learn new skills in a low distraction environment. So nowadays, best practice is to train loose lead walking on a harness, first of all inside your house. When he does that like a pro, you can move it out to the deck, repeat, then the next least exciting part of your garden, and so on, until you're ready tomove it outside. Then you choose the least exciting outside place, train til he's a pro there, and gradually increase the distraction level until he can do it anywhere. If he won't move in it even in the house, just leave him to wear it for an hour or so at a time for a few days during normal routine, til he's used to it. Another little pointer I gave you on your last video, but not sure if you saw it, is about teaching him to trade. Maybe you could have a look at that comment , on the other video? Just that, the little growl he gave when Harlow took the big ball, that's the beginning of his negative reaction to having things taken from him without his consent. I'm afraid this practice does tend to erode your relationship with the dog, and I feel it's really important that he starts learning to willingly trade instead. Another little thing is when Harlow is trying to chill with him, but he keeps mouthing and chewing. You can easily give yourselves a break there: he just naturally needs to chew, cos teething, so just let him have something he's supposed to be chewing while he's chilling. I think it always helps to remember that every behaviour happens for a reason, and the reason is to fulfill a need. So I always try to figure out what the need is, so it can be fulfilled in a more helpful way instead. If I can manage this before undesired behaviour becomes a habit, I can just nip it in the bud. Of course it's not foolproof: some behaviours are more self-reinforcing, so habits can form fast, and some accidental rewards are so rewarding, or accidental punishments so severe, that a permanemt pattern is set up in a single instance. But these are thankfully quite rare, so in most cases this principle makes for a much less stressful relationship with your dog. Sorry for the essay, hope you read and it's any help. A tip as a service dog handler, if Rocket eats slippers don’t give him toys that look like shoes because he won’t know the difference, for example is he eats a shoe correct him and if you want give him a different toy but if it’s a shoe toy he won’t know the difference between the toy and your shoes, no hate love your videos xx😊

Dogs love our shoes because they smell strongly of us which is why they are chosen most often. No hate, but by letting Rocket have your slipper or shoe pretty much guarantees many chewed shoes and it won’t be his fault. But it is so stink in’ cute that I would think it was worth loosing a few shoes in the first couple of years :)

TIP: take a couple of Rocket’s chewy toys with you for cuddles on the couch. Wiggle it around to make it more interesting and switch him to biting and playing with his toy every time he tries to bite you. He will grow out of it as he gets older. I used to have a red mini daxie named Woggles when I was Harlow’s age and she was such a fun, sweet little dog. Rocket could not be any cuter - he is so adorable, especially being a cream colour. It is lovely seeing you all having so much fun with him.

Aww little or should I say big boy! He’s grown so much I absolutely loved watching this it made my day! It’s very important to train them young! ❤ I was also wondering if you had thought about teaching him how to heel because if there was ever a situation where you needed him under control immediately then heel is a great way to do so! ❤ I could honestly watch rocket play all day! ❤ Harlow when you threw his toy his little head had me rolling on the floor!😂 my granny’s dog had a slipper when she was younger and now she’s carry’s it around everywhere with her even on walks! 😂 for the teeth chews I recommend denta sticks because they are vet recommended and are great for fresh breath and all dog love them! How did his vaccinations go? Harlow you looked very stylish when going on the walk! 😂 also with teaching him how to heel you can walk him without a lead on but always heave the lead in case he gets spooked by something because you don’t want him running off! ❤ also I’m begging you please never take the harness off you can take the lead of if you have a good trust in him but please not the harness because it just takes him to see something and run after it especially next to the long grass! I would hate for you to loose him!❤

Awww it was lovely to see a rocket video !! The puppy teething will stop eventually my dog went through the same phase ☺️ he’s the cutest pup ever !! It’s good when they are small they only need 5 mins exercise per month of age I let my dog over run when he was a pup and he had poorly hips for a while but he’s so much better now I take him swimming and dog party’s and dog festivals 🥰. A good way to give good harness training is just getting him used to it and let him walk around his pen in it to get him used to it , and also i would suggest just walking him round in the house in the lead and teaching him commands like heel ect u could search up on youtube training videos x hope this helped !❤️❤️❤️❤️

Your puppy is so cute!! Some tips- Get Rocket used to the lead and harness then he will kind of get the gist of walks. get him used to not being on the harness and lead keep on giving him treats and encouraging him to do that. Also don't do this straight away as all this stuff at once could cause problems, AKA do this over time. I have been watching you for at least 2 years now. you, the horses and rocket are so cute!! He's beautiful can I make a small suggestion Harlow and Chelsea. As he doesn't like walking with his harness and lead so he is safer when he is off lead incase he bolts I would suggest a collar with a tag with your information on just incase . It is also a legal requirement so if he was to run away or get lost people can reunite him with you. I would like to say it won't happen but you never know . Just a helpful tip for you guys 😊 x

Rocket is so cute. He is living The life. A tip to help with the biting is carrying around a bone or some type of toy and giving the option to chew that instead like when he is chewing the pillows. Training is definitely better to start whilst he is younger. So keep it up with the training you guys are doing great!

Rocket is super cute! In terms of leash manners and general behaviours, I would very highly recommend looking for Kennel Club Good citizens scheme classes nearby. They have Puppy, Bronze, silver and Gold awards which you work your way through. Also, as a friendly reminder, it is a legal requirement in England for dogs to wear an identification tag when not on private property (just in case you weren’t aware :) ) Hope you have lots of fun with Rocket as he grows!

With my young dogs I put the harness and lead on while they’re running around at home just let them drag the lead around. This gets them used to the weight of it and takes out the confusion when they feel the pressure from it. He might also like a less bulky harness? Sometimes that helps in breeds with short legs!

Hi, I’m not sure if you know already but the hard Yak milk chew you have can go in the microwave. Just pop it in for a few seconds and you will see it turn in to a honeycomb texture. It will be hot so just let it cool down and Rocket will find it much easier to chew through 🐶🐾

A little walking tip, start with using just a collar instead of a harness. A harness can sometimes feel quite restricting on a little puppy like Rocket. To help him get used to a collar on his neck, put a collar on him when he’s just out in the yard. I would also highly recommend getting some little bells to put on a collar for taking him into the barn if you plan on allowing him around the horses in the future. It will ensure that the horses are aware that he is around because he is so small. Rocket is so darn cute! Can’t wait to watch him get even bigger!

Just a little tip, if biting becomes a habit. When you are cuddling him and he starts biting, you should take him off your lap and ignore him because if you keep stroking him you are just enforcing that bad behaviour and when he stops biting you can put him on your lap again. He will associate biting as something bad because he won’t get attention. BTW I love your videos keep up the amazing content ❤❤❤

Aww he is so cute!! To start off with the harness, get him used to just running with it on and then clip on the lead and reward him for every step whether it's with a treat or a pat and praise any amount of steps is an effort and improvement!. You can also bring toys and throw them with his harness and lead on and run with him to just get him used to it on him when he is moving. Then incorporate a few steps and getting him to sit be nice and loose dont suddenly pull him around❤❤ i Don't know if this will help but it's worth a shot! Also keep your harness training sessions short ❤❤❤

Omg, this was so cute! But if that braided chew for rocket’s was raw hide, get rid of it immediately. Raw hide is essentially a chocking hazed for dogs! There have been multiple cases where dogs have chocked on raw hide and choking is deadly!

Persevere with the lead walking, he's only small remember and still developing so he'll be doing the amount he wants to do. They say 5minutes exercise per month of age once or twice a day, so 20 minutes is plenty for a small breed. Also (sorry, dog lover over hear 😅) don't make the chase a game. If he has something he shouldn't and he runs away, try to trade him for a treat but before giving it him train in a sit and drop to try and avoid him running off ❤

there's a setting where you can activate the AI tracking by raising your hand in front of the camera. i read somewhere saying that they optimised their algorithm specifically for the horse riding/equestrian community. so it tracks horses better than other brands

Hii I’m a service dog handler and dog trainer and if you want a dog to walk on the lead better you should teach him the heal command by holding a treat in your hand and letting him nibble it while walking, guiding him to walk near you when he walks nicely for a couple steps give him the treat keep doing that while saying heal, any other questions reply on this comment!! Hope this helped!! I have a video on teaching them how to heal!!

For the walking if you put his harness on when he eats his dinner and just randomly through the day so he associates it with something good (he won’t like it at first but just be consistent and give him food and treats when he’s worn it for 5 mins slowly increase wearing time)
