The slight highs peak I saw in some of your track analysis is nowhere to be heard by ear. For someone who hated the upper mids / lower treble of the Go+Play 2, this 3rd one is AMAZING ! And it easily destroy my Onyx Studio 7, which is far from sounding balanced now that some time have passed and now I've heard a lot more speakers. @dragosnacu10 ай бұрын
They say it automatically adjusts to the surroundings. So this threesome EQ must indicate the minimum and maximum level of adjustment. It starts with default 2 and it can vary in between 1 and 3. So these min/max values are set in the speaker, but they are hidden because they are not meant to be actual EQs. I think it's difficult to measure if the default mode 2 is changing within those limits, since that would mean also changing the environment of the recording. Anyway, it's a nice and interesting discovery. World-class video, as usual. 😊

Good to see you back Alan...nice to be back from the little hiatus. It's the start of the speaker season...I'm sure there are/will be a lot of incoming in terms of new speakers. I'm curious to see what the Soundcore BOOM 2 will bring as compared to the original PFP Champion given it will have just one driver/speaker and two twitters. But it looks to be a bigger speaker compared to those of the original MB. I did sign up for the early bird. But frankly I want something Bigger and badder... that's why my sights are set in anticipation of a second generation MB+, whenever that will materialize. Hopefully before summer. Beach Time!!!😅 But I'm glad to hear Soundcore will be sending you a Boom 2..they better do so ASAP cuz in my view you nailed it when you crowned the original MB the P4P champ. Even without twitters that lil guy was punching way above his weight class. That's what I'd like to see with the second iteration of MB+...that is a speaker that addresses the shortcomings of the MB+ [ two bigger drivers (two of the drivers used on the Boom 2 or even better) and way more better twitters, better tuning, more power and a size increase]🤞

Hey Alan, I just got the Bose Soundlink Max and compared it against HK Go Play 3. I think you will be pleasantly surprised with Bose. Can't wait for your review
@alanrossreviews7 ай бұрын
So how do they compare?
@harisshaukat47807 ай бұрын
@@alanrossreviews well so far I have only spent a day listening to bose but here are the things I have noticed: 1. The clarity is exceptional. There is only one tweeter in the middle and I think two full range drivers and somehow together, they paint an amazingly clear soundscape. Might sound ridiculous but the sound actually feels 3d in many instances without losing focus in the center. 2. The bass is always there and audible no matter how low the volume. There is definitely some dsp trickery there but this is a great speaker for quiet listening. Has a satisfying sound even at low volumes. 3. It’s super portable compared to the HK Go Play 3 yet the bass feels more powerful and rumbly. I have only compared both at low volumes so far. 4. The in-app eq is smooth and easy to tailor the sound albeit not as flexible as Soundcore. Increasing the bass eq dramatically adds heft to the sound.

Hi Allan, I'm from India. I'm a low volume music listener. I never rise volume above 40 percent. 25-35 is my favourite volume level. Can you suggest a best sounding speaker for me? My budget is 50-200 USD. Please suggest 2 Speakers: (1) below 100 dollar and (2) below 200 dollar

A month or two I noticed Go + Play 3 was on sale for $160 on the Harman Kardon website. So I thought about it and I thought about and before you knew it I thought myself right out of the sale lol. I need another Bluetooth speaker like I need a whole in the head (my mantra). But with that said I’ve been kicking myself ever since for procrastinating myself out of partaking in that DEEP discount. Anyway, after watching this video I decide nip over to eBay to see if I could find a decent deal on the G+P3 and to my surprise eBay is flooded with them. You can easily find this speaker for south of $200. Anyway, I didn’t procrastinate this time around. I was able to cop for $160. The End 😂
@waynedexter10 ай бұрын
Now I know why eBay is flooded with this speaker. Supposedly with a coupon from Groupon you were able to cop it for $128, which is insane if it’s a good as you say it is. I’m still happy with getting mine for $160 and can’t wait for it to arrive
@alanrossreviews10 ай бұрын
for me its the best value for a serious bluetooth speaker. it wont be the best for someone outdoors for long periods due to small battery, or party lovers wanting more bass punch or fake audiophiles wanting less bass, but for me its the best ive had so far ✔

I have found that the HK sounds best on a heavy glass table. Would it be safe to say that those three modes are really three volume levels for the tweeter ( tweet, tweet) amplifiers, while leaving the bass/mid untouched? Having played around with my mates (speaker) it sound like that may be the case. PS Thanks for everything😊
