You can buy a 19v battery pack and make it work. Or replace the batterys
@trevorbalnaves98703 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I bought a studio two back in 2016. Six months after I bought it the leg broke off, and I’ve glued it back at least four times. Now the battery doesn’t want to hold a charge, but I just can’t get rid of it because it sounds so damn good. It looks Jenkee now, and has to be plugged in full-time. I just don’t care. Let’s be honest, I didn’t buy it for battery life in the first place.
@ulyssesgood126 күн бұрын
i just bought six months ago the same Onyx Studio works fine just need to replace the battery and i just insert 2 screws on the back to replace the legs ( 2 screws with length 5inches ) works Great ( price for 2 screws in Mexico $.40usd)

Well, you actually talk more about the modification you have done rather than telling us what is truly different about each of these products before the modification. I think that got lost in the presentation. I think most people were expecting talking about features that are different in each product.

Difference between 2 and 3 is 2 is bluetooth 3.0 and 3 is bluetooth 4.1 and has the dual mode everything else is the same. Should be a notch at the bottom of the grill to remove.

I will add my 2 cents! I have had the OS1 for years and have used it to its fullest capabilities for years now. I searched for years for the perfect speaker. The OS1 is ABSOLUTE PERFECTION, BAR NONE! I have NO complaints! It hits every high, every low, every midrange, completely the opposite of BOSE (no highs, no lows...)! I searched for Bose (as you know how disappointing and pointless that went) all the way up to B&O. Nothing comes close to H/K OS1! The 2 and 3 versions I've tested and aren't even close to the rich and precise sound qualities of the 1! Now I must always preserve the OS1 for the rest of my life, no replacement for perfection! If you find an OS1, BUY IT IMMEDIATELY, NO MATTER THE COST, worth every penny! I've never spent money so worthwhile than with the OS1!!!
@ramrocker10043 жыл бұрын
I have the OS1 too and my only complains are the short playtime and the absence of a connectivity option (excuse my English, please). I wonder if you have tried any modifications, or heard of any?
@barrybenkendorf6723 жыл бұрын
@@ramrocker1004 not aware of any mods for it. Got OS2 now and gifted the OS1 to my parents. Love the AUX port for the OS2, it's my dedicated sound system for my TV. Works sooo well! Lots of powerful bass and room filling sound out of a tiny speaker. Amazing!
@JosephAraza Жыл бұрын
@@barrybenkendorf672do you get the same quality sound from v2? I also absolutely loved v1 but just went down after enjoying it for years.
@barrybenkendorf672 Жыл бұрын
@JosephAraza yes, if you find a V2 get it immediately! Everything after V2 went down hill big time with sound quality! V1 and V2 were the only high sound quality perfect speakers! I even purchased a $2k B&O A9 Mk2 and the HK OS2 still sounds great in comparison, it actually better room fill than the B&O. It's just amazing the power and sound quality technology they crammed into the tiny HK OS1/2, incredible engineered speaker. It does EVERYTHING so perfectly! It looks just like a miniature B&O A9 so it must mean something to both have the exact same design and speaker placement! Forward facing tweeter and treble speakers rearward facing bass speaker. The only difference in performance is the B&O has an Amp for each individual speaker where the HK has only 1 Amp powering all speakers I believe, but it does an excellent job for everything it does so well. The watt output is much different as well. The B&O A9 is basically just an upgraded and much more expensive HK OS1/2.

not sure what your question is, I wasn't going to play music because my microphone and your speakers wouldn't accurately reproduce the frequencies these speakers produce
@d0nj037 жыл бұрын
You could've described the sound at least in words. Right now the other guy's video where he actually plays them is still more informative, and his microphone FYI did actually capture very deep bass, it's just a question of what various viewers are going to play that on, but it comes through just fine at my end.
@irhunte7 жыл бұрын
interesting. I will take that into account if I do another speaker review. I will say that I connected a subwoofer to mine and ran a frequency test and these speakers do emit sound down to 20hz. I believe that all of the woofers are the same but I haven't inspected them closely

Define "died", if it doesn't light up or blink or anything when plugged in, take a volt meter to the power supply and make sure you're getting 19 volts there. Could just be a bad power supply

weird 101 subscribers and 101 dislikes, just noticed this. eye'ing up these speakrs, but might get a charge as its so portable and element proof, then again the main happiness from the speaker will be sitting indoors so I should go for optimal sound.
@googleuser63577 жыл бұрын
Shouldn't you at least listen to the 2 before you tell us the 3 is the way to go? Apparently there are some differences in sound character. Personally I don't care about the dual play feature because that uses bluetooth and bluetooth is crap sound quality. I use aux cable from my phone for better sound, so I would use a couple of Chromecast Audio if I want to play two speakers. Actually I'd like to play my Onyx Studio 2 with another speaker that has more detailed mids. Did you figure out how to get the cover off your Studio 3? A dime works great with the 2. I always play it with the cover off, sounds a bit better that way.

I personally liked the information and the video and sure you could of added a few other details but this was a nice overview from a regular person not a spec geek. You put in the time and effort to make something then all they do is click on it and bitch.

richard bowden thanks for your words, I feel like I could run for political office now because that's just a little bit of what they face. @richardbowden95617 жыл бұрын
Well, I thought you did a good job. You sounded like a down to earth normal person just putting out a video about a speaker your passionate about. I've seen all the specs and other crap I don't need to know anymore about. Your video is really good for people that have some electronic knowledge and like to understand more about how they work. Most but not all of the people that made negative comments probably never knew that the movement of air is very critical to sound. Any successful KZbinr will tell you to just not to pay attention to the negative comments and definitely not to argue back even though I found it entertaining.

Very difficult to follow. Many sentences you start are cut off and you decide today something else.. I like what your doing, it's just difficult to follow. I was interested in the add on you added into the onyx 1, but u never clearly named what it was, or how you installed it..... this video is not very watchable, I found myself skipping through for a sound test, or any straight forward explanation of CLEAR differences.

I agree with you. I would say your comment is a constructive one. I too would like to know more information on how to adapt other sound sources to the Onyx. I would like to see more videos on it but with all the real nasty comments I really doubt he'll do another one.
