Found you to figure out how to change my phones screen, ended up figuring out how to bust into my HK Onyx one to change out the old, and overworked battery. I loathed bluetooth's sound, being more of a vinyl record sound girl myself ((and cassette tape when being nostalgic to relive my childhood with all it crappy sound)) but the onyx does pretty damn good . So thank you Sir!

You may not like the sound but this is one of the better Bluetooth speakers I have enjoyed listening too. I am surprised at the base response with such small speakers.

I have a onyx3 and a onyx 5.....Best sounding speaker....but my onyx 3’s battery is not functioning already...but can still be use if plug in to AC.....My onyx3 has serves me for 1 year and 8 months...😌

Mine no longer recognizes the AC adapter - meaning, when the AC is plugged in, the speaker won't stay on like it use to. I hear the low battery beeping sound and then the speaker cuts off. The speaker also doesn't stay on when the AC adapter is un-plugged from it. Do you have a video or step by step instructions somewhere for how to fix the issue?

Hi John, I just watched this video and still have a question. I have the exact same speaker that you were working on. My issue is it Powers on when plugged into the ac wall adapter. But will not power on if I unplug it from the wall. I don't get any Lights or indication that it has power. Again, it works fine when plugged into the wall, but I can use it as a portable speaker anymore because it has to be plugged in. Can you offer any advice and help? Thank you

Thanks for the detailed video. My hk onyx 4 took a fall and since then the speakers just shuts down and restarts if I play anything a little loud. Any idea what it could be?

@@Cloudy_The_Immortal are you using the original adapter that came with the speakers? For me I figured out that the replacement charging adapter I got didn't provide enough output voltage to support the speaker when we turn up the volume.

My onyx 5 was so great in the beginning the 1 1/2 years of use it stops dead so i read up figured i needed a battery replaced it an it does not work so now i know its the charhing port. How can this either be repaired or bypassed to charge another way even if i have to go frankenstein on the thing with crocadile clips and another outside power sorce does anyone know tricks to bypass the broken charging port?

Test with the battery disconnected using only the ac adapter. Check for a loose dc Jack. Look for liquid damage etc..

I have three Harman Kardon Onlyx speakers which I use every day and I have never had any problem. The speaker you fix seems not to be well kept and in a good state. How we treat our stuff can be one reason they stop functioning, or not ?

My Onyx 2 .. works with a/c conection but when i unplug that cable , doesnt work ... ? i always use the speaker conected to the a/c . It possible that the battery is dead ? In that case what this happn? Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion. I just connected it to my phone via bluetooth and played a bit from a song. I could also use my own music but I don't care to bother with it. You have some good stuff on your channel mate. Cheers!

I have the studio one, when it turn on i hear a loud crack (or two pops real quick). Then it functions normally. It didnt do that earlier. Do you know whats up?

I have a onyx studio 3. When turning on, a chime no longer turns on and there is no volume. I have disconnected and reconnected the Bluetooth multiple times on multiple devices. I have tried the factory reset and I have tried plugging into the aux port. The device connects via Bluetooth and I can control the volume from my phone but nothing from the speaker. Can you help?

To be fair they're mainly designed for plugged in at home use, so the battery is a bonus making it more flexible. Love mine, the sound so much more refined and natural than anything else I hear, I can listen to it all day!

Thats the thing about wireless. Wired always works and is secure, but bluetooth constanty disconnects and sends sensitive data

IF YOUR SPEAKER WONT TURN ON, FIRST CONNECT YOUR AC ( CHARGER) THEN HOLD DOWN THESE THREE BUTTONS FOR 8 SECONDS "BLUETOOTH, POWER, AND PLAY BUTTON" AND THEN THAT RESETS YOUR SPEAKER. YOUR SPEAKER SHOULD TURN ON NOW. UNPLUG YOUR AC (CHARGER) 👍
