They sometimes take elements of local religions and cultures like in indonesia and so on. They change it to fit Islamic themes. If someone happens to prefer nasheed like this what would be wrong with that? Don't scare people away from Islam like this. "Pray on" is an incorrect translation and a blasphemous one as well. What صلى على means is for God to praise him amongst the highest and most eminent of the angels i.e. الثناء عليه في الملأ الأعلى. And so the correct translation would be something like "Exalt, my Lord, the Prophet" or "Glorify, my Lord, the Prophet".

RusoolAllah (s.a.w.) even asked the people of Arabia to tell him the supplications and prayers that they'd use before Islam so that he could allow the ones that didn't have shirk in them and leave the rest. That is what Islam is meant to do, all peoples, their likes, desires, cultures and aspirations cannot be the same, and hence the flavour of Islam that you see there cannot be the same as well. If Islam was to remain foreign to peoples and something that negates their cultures rather than purify it, it wouldn't have went out of Arabia
