My goodness gracious! Does the internet realize how information packed & valuable the musical information being dispensed in just this one video is????..... and, being delivered here for.... F R E E??!! I mean, this could even be a bass guitar lesson if you're paying attention. ...and then think about how guys like Alan Wilson learned how to play harmonica in the age when there wasn't anyone to teach you, nevermind a step by step method like this, that you can slow down, and repeat all you want.....and from a world class harp player to boot! This is even going to help my guitar playing out in terms of swing etc. That pen analogy was great! I bet Alan would have been drooling for something this back in 1964! No wonder there's so many people playing really good blues harmonica these days......You definitely are a very generous person.... Stellar lesson brother! _It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!_ 🎷🎸🎹

Thanks Jason. I started learning harmonica several years ago and found you then but because of not being able to practice at home I didn't make much progress so I bought an electric guitar with headphone socket and have been having a blast. This lesson on the box pattern really helped me. It's surprising how much I learned from my harmonica efforts that really gave me a leg up learning blues on guitar. Keep up the good work. You have a way of explaining things that is very entertaining.

Jason, I must say, you are “on fire” at the moment and it is great to see and hear you so motivated because that really does pass onto us disciples and keeps us motivated and eager to progress. This I think is the best video you have done and is so valuable to me personally at the standard am at presently. It may have blown my mind two years ago but now thanks to you and your excellent tutorage it goes in pretty quick and I can use it in my own playing to make it more expressive and stand out! I have had many great comments and praise of my playing on the limited gigs I have done with the band and that reflects on the instruction from you and obviously practice time too! Many thanks Jason. You are now undoubtedly the “King” of harmonica tutorage for the intelligent player who wants to stand out and be noticed. I will be signing up to your Patreon as you deserve it! Keep up the great work you are doing. Congratulations again for the award nominations for your abilities also👌🤘🎉🎶

Jason I’d like you to have a listen to one of my own tunes that was featured on the local BBC radio Station last night alongside my other tunes. The harp on the tune is first position and it sits beautifully over the banjo(no don’t run yet!) thanks to your wonderful tutorials. I don’t only limit myself to this style of playing/genre but also play in 2nd /3rd position thanks to you in a full band situation also as harp guy using one of your mics and lone Wolf pedal set up also. Thanks again Jason for helping me on my way harmonica wise as Clifton Hicks has with my banjo skills. Without you guys I’d be nowhere still🤘🎶kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJ3ToZWfe7iKgNU

Dude what's that thing you do to breath out? Kinda answered my own question but not really. Could you break it down? Because when you do it there's no harp sound so it don't sound like your doing it rhro the harp? So are you doing it away from the harp?

Jason, Please clarify this for me. The 7th and the flat 5th exist in each of the 1st, 4th and 5th cords. They do not represent notes on the major/minor scale.
@jasonricci3 жыл бұрын
flatted 7th's are in 7th chords/dominant 7's and both flatted 7's and flatted V's are indeed part of the blues scale in particular. there is a flatted 7th in the mixolydian mode which is major and probably other places. Here in this video we only discussing where, roots, regular 5th's and flatted 7th's are in each of these chords. Hope that helps!
