Verdict - Lee Oskar harmonicas are my harmonicas of choice. They are the #1 harmonica that I have played over the decades at countless gigs, recording dates, and jam sessions, and I’ve never had a problem with them. They’re very responsive, very easy to bend, sound great, are comfy to play, they have easily readable key labels giving you the key for 1st and 2nd position to remove any guesswork, and they are durable. They are especially good for single note playing, and also come in a variety of interesting tunings that can be fun to explore.
If you’re wondering which brand is better between Lee Oskar and Hohner, my answer is yes. LOL. But seriously, it’s a personal choice, and for me Lee Oksar and Hohner are my favorite 2 harmonica companies (followed by Suzuki and Seydel.) I like Lee Oskar #1, and Hohner #2 (with my favorite Hohner models being the Special 20, Golden Melody, Crossover, and Rocket.)
Within the tone section of this video I do an A/B of Lee Oksar vs. Special 20 in chordal style and in single note style.
