I grow all sorts of trees in my backyard and plant them out in the 'wild' when they are big and strong enough. I also collected seeds from all kinds of beautiful plants and help nature with spreading these.

Hi, what makes me at peace is my garden. I grow all my own herbs. I have a big herb garden but I’ve started growing some in my flower beds, St. John’s wort, muellin, calundula, camomile etc.. it’s beautiful, I will send photos when they are all in flower. I have my own three, my compassion for humanity which includes my desire for justice everywhere.my love of plants ,and my animals, children and grandchildren. We have a big allotment and grow all our own vegtables. Eacjh time I go there I find new wild herbs. Plantain, loads of dandelions, and nettles. I make my own tinctures teas and balms. It’s not a business ,I give them to anyone in need and use them myself. I’m 67. In the time I have left in life herbs and plants will be my guiding light. I listen to you each video and yarrow you’ve taught me so much. .I was born in NY but left the states and travelled then ended up in Britian. 50 years ,many in crisis but gardening and then herbs gave me a path. So as long as I can I will live in to heal and to learn. Thank you Yarrow . Your friend Naomi

you once grabbed me by the hand and said, "you may already know this but you're often not in your body" ... this was one of the most impactful moments of my life! now I work on being as present as possible in any given moment and I have found EFT (emotional freedom technique) to be of great benefit as well 💗😚🙏

Great video. I've worked hard on diet, and culturally this is very difficult to do. I decided that I'd try to incorporate the maximum qty of different plants. Herbs, weeds, basically anything I can grow. I add them to smoothies and teas. I tend to like bitter herbs, but for those who don't they can be hidden in berry smoothies.

One of your best videos so far. Thanks. I have a few nature spots I love to hike at. One with a creek is my favorite. And if I can't get there, my back yard is plenty big and beautiful in rural Michigan here. Summer it's snorkeling in Lake Michigan. (I could swim all day easy.) And in winter.... (I really detest the cold.) I bring out my paints and lose myself creating a place on canvas. Gotta keep those creative juices flowing don't ya know. Lately getting much more serious about gardening, my daughter is interested in fermenting and we will both be trying that this year. And of course, your videos on the healing power of plants.... incredible! I transplanted a mullen plant I dug out of a crack in the driveway last year after watching your video. It should flower this year. Got a corner of my yard set aside for random weeds. Also planted a black elderberry (niger sambucas) the good kind for syrup. Maybe be a few years before I can do anything with that but gotta start somewhere.

Thank you Yarrow, that was a great video. When you talked about finding a sit spot, that really spoke to me. I have a chair out on the edge of our field where I go to regroup and listen to the crows. It's become a ritual to me. Thanks for your wisdom. 🌼

I love to cook and bake, all from scratch. It just feels so good to create. I enjoy making my own breads, today was wild rice and onion. Smelled and tasted so good. I like being creative in my cooking, and being in the kitchen in winter making just what you said, soups, stews, braising short ribs, and a lot of these things are then vacuum sealed, and frozen for our outdoor adventures for the next few seasons. When you really want to explore more of nature. Thanks so much for your lovely and thoughtful videos.

Great comment. I am like you when it comes to moving water. I like ocean big or creek small. It signifies the passage of time, yet in a very present way. The sight and sound of life in and alongside the sustenance of water. Another beautiful form of nature in action.

I was nearly brought to tears when you brought up finding a "sit spot". There was a time of my life after going through significant trauma, when I became subsequently wrapped up into an abusive relationship. I had a favorite forest I would go to and center myself. I memorized a route off of the main path through the brush, to a spot where a large tree had fallen across the river. I cant tell you how many days I sat on that tree and cried with my feet in the mud. I was sitting on that tree when I gathered the courage to free myself from that bad situation. I sat there when I called my mother sobbing, to tell her I was finally out. I live over an hour away from there now, but when my mind is turbulent I mentally go back to that tree and the peeping frogs that soothed my tortured nerves.

I didn't know that Forest bathing is a thing.. I've lived in Humboldt county my whole life and play in the redwoods all the time The feeling I thought was normal. The flow state you describe is how I feel when I travel through nature with my dog. Whether we hike or bike, we go slow and let the surroundings tell us when to stop and when to camp. I like to say I'm just in it for the coffee, which actually means that moment in the morning when I just sit and take in the world, and suddenly find myself completely present in the moment.

When I m in a nice flow, I sing and hun a lot of the time. Not in an ‘ look at me’ Loudly yelling type of singing, but for myself. And with that, I inspire the beings around me. My kids start also, they don’ t realize it. And so I trained myself “ not to stop when I feel silly” . So I hum in the bus. I never have had negative reply so it must do some good to others. I also greet the animals or some plants that I meet on my way. cats, dogs but also Birds of a worm that I find in the ground while digging. These things help me to feel myself and realize sharper what I need, or what is good for me ( and what is not).

This is really interesting, I really enjoyed this video, it brings together three really important energy centres which I have been forgetting to focus on in a balanced way, and have been thinking of them in an isolated way and stressing about things and feeling very unbalanced. This video has reminded me to actively think about the head, heart, gut centres in harmony, so thanks herbal jedi!! And I loved the reminder that it is good to play and explore and experiment with a childlike wonder. And not be too serious but let energy flow. My guiding north star is to deepen my respect with nature and wildlife and learn deeply about holistic healing massage and energy centres. And I certainly needed a reminder about the importance of balance with what you take into your system. I'm off to have a nettle tea now with the early nettle shoots that are springing up all over my garden. Thanks herbal jedi! X

Thank you for the thoughtful & insightful video. I resonate with your idea to make friends with non-human beings or inanimate objects. At the beginning of the shutdown in 2020, I began talking to a little stuffed rabbit, and a cosmic lion from a dream. Since then, we have had many adventures and we have made a few other friends, too. While this may seem weird to some, it actually really helps me to get in touch with parts of myself that have been neglected or unheard. I love these guys, and cannot believe how this practice has softened, broadened and supported me. It has allowed me to see limiting thoughts and beliefs which hold me back. And, to forgive myself for judging myself and others for just being human and doing the best that we can. So, I highly recommend talking to whatever/whoever arises, and staying curious about what it/they have to say.

Lately I have been having difficulties in not just simple things that I want to do but also the everyday things I need to do. I do believe this video is exactly what I needed to hear. Now I will watch one more time. Again, thank you.
