I have linear intimate headphones, and I like them. However, I want the other side of the spectrum and want to get into tubes, would this then be better than the newer Grados. That way I get my typical sound when I want it, but also can play with tubes, and experience that other side of the spectrum?

Bought some lightly used ones on EBay for $300 (after just missing out on a pair for $300 Canadian). I don’t think I would use them for everything, but I have to say that one of my all time favorite ensembles, Punch Brothers, sound absolutely amazing on these. Really enjoying the Poseidon (and Punch Brothers) right now…

Got mine today, I really like them but can tell they're going to be polarizing. After about an hour of listening they feel like a brighter, less bassy Nighthawk or maybe some weird narrow Focal experiment. Not what I was expecting from the reviews but pleasantly surprised.

So off subject and late to the party, I received my Arya's and listened to different types of music and compared to my Sony MDR-Z1R and Fostex TH900. The Sony's sounded slightly muffled. The Fostex stood up better but the Arya's were very clear and they are the first open headphones I have had. I appreciated the lessening of the pressure while listening. Thanks for the suggestion, I really like them alot. They may end up being my only headphones.

No, the Zeus is exactly what you want, wide, detailed with solid bass, the Poseidon as for as I know is a hit or miss, the way every reviewer described it was what made me back off and the $435 price was just the cherry on top, I would say try the Zeus and see if you like them

I own the zeus and think they're pretty overpriced for what they are. They're aggressive, have no sub-bass whatsoever, and lose coherency during busy tracks. I use mine as gaming headphones because they're so comfy. But I wouldn't buy them again.

Okay I went for a 44 inch 4k TV. It's football season man. Next is a reciever and a 5.1 speaker system, an xdu00 single ended hybrid headphone amp then hopefully Argons. I love wide and bassy but those new Sigva 021 with those woodcups is calling me and other headphones. I have a 2015 avenger ( I did not have challenger money) and a 1997 Dodge 1500 project truck. It runs like a mad man.I. If you saw a picture of it you would say WTF. 800 bucks one previous owner from Houma. Man I am a Chevy man and Honda nut boy from my 1985 CRX , the last new car I ever bought. If fact I go to mechanic school in August so I can get more toys. Mike the mechanic at your service. One day I will get some high end gear. They had Audio-Technica turntables at ye old fart mart (Wal-Mart ) for two hundred bucks,I lost my vinyl collection in Hurricane Katrina,thanks to my ex-wife. Just got mine in.....and my god do these sound bad through a jotunheim + modius. low end punch AND extension is non-existent, mid range feels veiled almost as if my music is muffled, and the highs are crisp yet not sibilant, but also very fast. Even at 300$ it's disappointing IMO. Lets hope a long burn in may loosen up the low end a bit. i'd take the 650/660s/600 or the 6xx(havent owned these but assuming theyre similar to 600s) used over these any day and use the rest towards anus reduction surgery to reduce my prolapsed asshole after these fucked me. Ok maybe an exaggeration but Id say these should be 200$ at most. edit: These take to an EQ surprisingly well. Can definitely wake up the low-end a bit without upsetting them.
