Wow. Not only is the sound absolutely incredible, but as a guy who is a hack at video editing, I have an idea of what it took to do the editing. Wow.

Well that was easy and fun to learn how to harmonize! Now I hear my tenor part singing this song. Haha Ive been told I have "natural" harmony which is encouraging to hear. Im not 100% sure because sometimes I butcher notes! But I'll keep practice. I don't speak music theory so thanks for not going down that old road. Haha take care!

I love your video. My band, The Dauphin Street Stompers, plays Dixieland and we sing a lot. I've found that three part harmony is, for the most part, easier than two part harmony. Here's another hack that I learned from the Bee Gees. If you have a fairly complex melody and a lot of chord changes (with key changes) then the 2nd guy can sing a static note 2nd part that fits the chords, but probably won't make a very interesting 2nd part either. But here's the kicker. Now the 3rd part guy only has to harmonize with the static 2nd guy which is a lot easier to do than if he had to work with the melody. What you get is two guys singing the chord changes against one guy singing the melody.

Thanks! I'm having trouble hear the tenor and baritone parts and tend to lapse back to lead. Any advice?

same, but mostly with the baritone for me. as soon as i get past the 3rd bar my brain goes straight back to the lead, just an octave lower lol
