Just want to add a quick note to this nice video: If you are having a bad day due to anxiety, DO NOT do something relaxing! Do more strenuous stuff, do some sudoku, do some brain teasers, do exercise, etc. Doing relaxing activities will allow you to think about the stuff making you anxious and will just make you feel worse.

Kwynnie that’s not true for everyone. I have GAD (Generalized anxiety disorder) and doing something like that will make me feel worse. Don’t speak for everyone because everyone’s case is different. You don’t seem to know a lot about anxiety, and I’m not an expert but I know a fair amount considering that I have it. In my case (and many others) people know certain things makes them

...that stuff makes me stressed thoooooo And relaxing things help me ;-;
@kwynn71976 жыл бұрын
@@youjustgotvectored3989 I have Severe Social Anxiety, and doing relaxing things tends to let my mind be calm enough to linger on the anxious thoughts; I was just saying that when you do relaxing things, they tend to not be able to distract your mind enough to be effectively calming. When I said relaxing activities, I meant activities that are not generally distracting enough. For example, a good relaxing activity is reading because you're too focused on the words to dwell on being anxious. A bad relaxing activity is watching a show that you are not at all invested in, because you could tend to wander off into your mind and you'll be back to having anxious thoughts when you just want to relax physically and mentally.
@biancajimenez20236 жыл бұрын
I played games like that when u had severe anxiety and omg it helped distract me so so much!!!! I use to have 8 panic attacks a day even the sound of a door slamming would cause me to have a 2 hour panic attack and I could def say this helped so much

Sounds super cheesy but when I take showers (I take them before bed), I visualize all the stress, sadness, anxiety, etc etc all washing off of me with the dirt and going down the drain. So now it's all replaced with a cleaner brighter me instead of feeling like I'm coated in such. It's a strange habit but it's an amazing visualization practice that I actually pick up from cleansing crystals cuz that's what we're doing with them whenever we cleanse them so lol. Also huge congrats to you for your book. Hopefully when it comes out in the American I'll be able to buy it.

Crystal Witch what's with birds dying in their owners hands? That's what happened with my lovebird too, and then, a week later, my canary died in my hands too. It's been a year so I'm over it but I'm rrally sorry you had to experience that. At least it was in your hands, you were holding it, hugging it, you can only hope that you offered your lovebird some comfort by holding it on you...Maybe it let go right at that moment because it was feeling safe to do that...That's what I like to think my birds felt at least... Sorry for your loss, I hope you get over it emotionally as soon as possible!

I love that your first advice is to get the tears out, I'd definitely agree on that. Otherwise I'm just bottling it up until it comes out anyway! And I'm also the same when it comes to feeling "disconnected from your body". It actually helps a lot to feel where the pain actually is IN your body, and focus on that instead of your thought cinema to this.

When I had the worst depression I’ve ever had, when I was a sophomore in college, the one thing that helped so much was reading Harry Potter. I’ve read each book so many times and just reading them made me feel like I was with friends and family and it really took my mind off things. That’s really good advice!

I found out that starting habits like drinking tea by the window and watching a nice Video or reading is very good for me when I had a bad day. Also meditating, as long as I do something for myself and my sanity, something that comforts me beside food. Cause that's a huge problem for me. I was very interested in Wicca when I was 15. But our library, in the small town I lived in, had not much to offer. I grew up in a very conservative town, even though my parents were not very traditional. I was always able to sense the supernatural. I swear I saw and felt many energies in my life that sort of energy that you see with a blink of an eye. My friends called me a ghost detector and even today they take me with them when they want to buy a house, to see if there is anything inside that I can feel. Good or bad. I forgot about Wicca for many years but for 2 years now I am a silent viewer of your videos. I always looked for strength inside me not in gods, my way and you brought me back to Wicca, cause in a way I find peace in that. I wanna thank you for all the videos and the comfort your content gives to me every day I can always count on you bringing a nice video up with interesting things to talk about. I ordered your book yesterday. Guess what I am going to do tonight with a cup of tea sitting by the window... ;P Excited finding my way back to Wicca.

Wow really needed this right now! Things that help me on a bad day is meditating and reading a book, usually a book about witchcraft or a fantasy book. I finally got your book and as far as I've read so far, I absolutely love it!! it has also been really nice hearing about what you went through with your mental health because I'm going through much of the same right now. I've been struggling a lot and hopefully Wicca (and the medication I'm on) will help get me back to a peaceful and kinder mindset. Depression has stripped a lot away from me but I'm slowly getting it back and I've found that my journey with witchcraft and Wicca has really helped me through that and given me many ways to cope with and even change what I have to deal with daily. Thank you so much for writing such a helpful and honest book. I'm really enjoying it so far and I can't wait to finish it and reread it many times again.

For me if it’s particularly bad (also if I’m anxious!) I will turn off the lights around me and sit in the corner of my room. 1) it’s a different space than my bed 2) it’s relaxing and I feel comfortable being supported on both sides. I also say that laying on the floor helps which sounds dramatic and pathetic but it literally puts things in a different perspective. Sometimes I kind of get a “stimuli overload” when the lights are too bright or there’s just too much in the space around me for whatever I’m mentally dealing with, and if I don’t feel well enough to clean, looking at a blank ceiling is actually very helpful. It’s a way of literally grounding me, as I’m closer to the earth. Idk I find it really relaxing. Putting on some soft music helps too to set the ambience

As a person who has recently recovered from mental health issues, I think I would have loved this video when I was struggling. But for me now, when I have a bad day, it isnt as extreem so many things you say dont apply then. What i tend to do to feel beter during a bad day (which usually lasts only 4 hours), I tend to take a walk, eat something healthy, make myself pretty, watch my favourite movie or series or anything, watch inspiring youtubers who are nice, watch happy people in general, talk to my boyfriend, cry with some tea, light a candle and some incense, make plans for the future and then for the rest of the day, and it usually helps to get things going. I just wanted to say to the people who dont have mental health issues or on average sich bad days: having a bad day doesnt mean it has to be extreem, it doesnt even have to mean that it will last all day. If you have a bad dat but you do have a routine, try to stick to that routine, it will make you feel like a champ. Also even if it does last all day: try to keep thinking: it's just my mind being a bitch, it cam get over any moment and I will feel fine. For myself it helps to be strict but in a loving manner. So for me personally it helps to say: you know what, sure you have a bad day, you dont have to socialize too much but all the other things you would love to finish now are still out there, you better do them, right now, it starts with one move: standing up. Mind over matter, you got this and you will like the powerful woman you are. Anyway i was jusy putting this out there. It might not work for everyone, but I know that even when i had mental health issues, it worked better for me to be a bit more strict then others would perhaps like, and that still applies to me. Maybe it might work for someone else to

This is really helpful. My mental health is much improved this year from last, I’ve been feeling really down lately (I’ve lost a lot of friends, I’m pissed at capitalism and the systems associated with it, I feel bad about my two year slump in witchcraft, my budgie has some illness and there’s no avian vet around, and my cat has cancer and needs a leg amputation). I usually either push myself through the day and ignore my feelings through the Internet, or I just vege out and do nothing (and again ignore my feelings through the Internet) on my bad days, and I’m aware that’s a very unhealthy coping mechanism for me. This video had some great advice

It's true that not every day will be bad and that we have survived this far and it is worth to keep moving forward. I am 19, I still have time to breathe, to learn, to break, to heal and to pick myself up each time. I'm writing this here so that when I have a terrible day like today I'd be able to look back and remember the universe works in miraculous ways and if one of my favourite KZbinrs can feel crappy but then have the strength to bounce back so can I.

Thank you for this video lovely lady. ❤️ Something I have had to learn now, as a 27 year old with severe depression and blah blah all of the above that comes with it, is that often times when I am in my depressive state (I tend to call them eras because my "episodes" last about 3 years minimum when something has happened in my life), I tend to get back into what I now call "bad habits". It's exactly what you described here, and I think that it is important to realize that we do these things as a sort of protection for our mental state, and it absolutely is not a healthy way to live our lives, but it works in the moment of us having these bad days (or in my case, years lol). Something else that helps me get out of a funk, if you are like me and your bad days look more like weeks or months, is journaling, and journaling hardcore. Honestly, even if you just post up bullet points on your notepad on your phone, or in your laptop, or on a whiteboard, piece of paper, napkin, whatever - do it. Because it allows you to take your down time you already have to look at what exactly it is that is bringing you so far down, and then allows you to take that step forward from there and either fix the situation if you are able to, or start on a path to talking to someone about it and getting some good advice. And, I've also had to realize, that I am far from alone on this, and I can literally go anywhere now, physically or on the internet, and I can find other people who are going through it just like me and we can talk it out. I don't ever remember this and I freak out that I will always be the only one going through a shit time and it'll never get better, but even after being depressed for several years, I always come out of it. ALWAYS. And if I can do it for years on end and still come out stronger, all of you can too. You just have to take it one baby step at a time, and definitely do exactly what Harmony is talking about. Girl got some good wisdom ✨😍✨ Much love all around. ❤️✨

I’ve read your book and I absolutely adore it! I absolutely agree it’s a great place that has everything you need to begin in Wicca (I’m a beginner and was overwhelmed at how many books were out there to tackle). It lives in my purse so I can constantly reference it as needed. I also suffer from mental illnesses (anxiety and depression) so I also needed this video. Thank you for sharing with us 💜
