To have such a champion as Popular Alm pass away in a paddock in outback South Australia is a disgrace. Poppy brought so much joy to the general pubic and lined the pockets of Harness Racing Victoria by hundreds of thousands of dollars. Thoroughbred racing has the correct idea, the retired champions can live out there days and have visits from the public. I hope that HRV have a statue of Poppy at the redeveloped track near Melton. I cried when Poppy retired and when VJ passed away. Many great memories.

Head to head with Gammalite it reads as something like 14 to 2 for Popular Alm - attempting to do a rough count from this. But Gammalite got that Interdominion win and must have had its own dramatic legend thing going outside of Popular Alm.

I DID RECAL QUINN A PACING NAME BACK THEN ALSO.I DO RECALL HOW MUCH KENNY MEANT ALSO SO TO SIUSAN DOVE THE BELL OF EVERY BALL aka DANCE IF YOU ARE NOT ABLE THE FAMILY DID HAVE ISSUES NAME ONE THAT DOES NOT???????,I ALWAYS RECALL THE SAD TIMES BUT TRY AND THINK OF THE GLAD TIMES IS THAT NOT MORE HELPFUL?????SO REMEMBER THE AND AS THIS IS A NEVER ENDING GORY STORY WHAT IF IT WERE YOUR FAMILY?
