funny been playing some of Harry's songs today and came across this tribute ISH! very good graphics. I remember hearing about his death here in England, I was in the royal navy in culdrose Navy airfield in Cornwall . very sad, but still listening to his beautiful stories. funny too god bless dear Harry Chapin and thank you legend.xx lots of love and respect from a royal navy veteran in Suffolk England xx

Nope. He never used drugs that anyone knows of. As referenced in the video he suffered an aortic dissection (aorta tearing away from the heart) because of the way his body contorted after the collision. This apparently was a known safety issue but when the family went to sue, VW basically said "come at us, bro" as they had the financial and legal power to bankrupt anyone trying to sue them.
