Harold Lloyd in "Cigarette"

Very rare short film of Harold Lloyd being politically incorrect with monkey and cigarette. I don't know the exact year yet..1917-1919 sometime. Only a minute and a half long. Strange stuff but super cool!

Harold is totally gorgeous my Granny had a crush on him and used to watch him in the silent movie era. I have the same overwhelming crush on the guy and I am well into my 70s myself now. I have all his movies and videos in my favourites on You tube. His gorgeous looks and brave stunts are timeless.

I'm glad to find that there are other people out there who are fans of Harold Lloyd! I recently went to my optometrist and she never even heard of him! I did Googled him up to show her what he looked like and who he was.

I think he was sexy early in his career but later toned down his sexiness to make his character more of a loveable nerd. Here he is just devastating. By the way, I'm a girl.

@@jesusslushies2192 I totally agree! I'm currently crushing on Harold big time. And for me he was always super adorable, with any look (glasses or no glasses) and at any age. But I'm amazed at how different he looked without glasses, without them he went from super cute to totally sexy. I first discovered him on TCM as well but I no longer get that channel, unfortunately. I just love him though!! 💖

I agree with you ladies. I discovered Harold Lloyd when I was thirty years old. I'm forty-two now and I still love him! To me he's sexy with or without glasses. I recently started watching his films again because I started wearing glasses myself. I feel I can identify with him more because of that.

If i'm not mistaken i believe this is a fragment from one of his last one reelers (the rajah,september 14,1919) because a still appears on a book about him by his granddaughter sue and jeffrey vance master comedian.

@@jmason2838 Hilariously I noted that it was "politically incorrect" to appease those who might fly in here and cry animal abuse, and now, i get people questioning "why is it politically incorrect?" KZbin....it just gets stupider and stupider as the years go by...since I've posted this over ten years ago this place has turned into one big nonstop argument...yes, this film is over 100 year old now and screwing around with animals wasn't considered wrong back in the day.
