Join Anne in the video tutorial to learn strategies for counting in a 6/8 time signature and gain even more confidence with the bonus rhythm practice worksheet that comes with your sheet music download. "Forget Me Not" is a sweet, lilting harp solo that feels light and breezy. This solo is small harp friendly and may be played on 25 strings or larger. A late elementary level player will feel comfortable with this piece. The left hand is limited to basic 1-5-8, 1-3-5 and 1-5 patterns and the right hand will place just 2 or 3 fingers with some simple linking.

MEDITATION is soothing and beautiful. The left hand settles on a simple C Major harmony. You may count the rhythm with a steady, slow pulse or treat the ties like fermatas and just listen to the sound fade.

Now that you are a master at counting in 6/8 time signatures, take a peek in the video description where I have included a list of more harp music in 6/8 time. Try Flight of the Heron or Drifting if you are elementary, or jump into Miss You or No Friend Like Music for an intermediate level. Or try composing your own music in 6/8!

I taught myself how to play my harp in 2003. But I couldn't understand sheet music 🎶. However, the 12 to 14 songs I play are a hot with people. I'm a humble person and I ask people not applaud.but say Amen! Sound mmo

Watching this one again this morning; Anne, could you please sometime do a tutorial on counting sixteenth notes. I always tend to shy away from pieces with those! Thanks in advance.
