Imagine being on either side of this. The dad that couldn't be happier, singing with his daughter. The daughter that couldn't be happier, singing with her dad. Just amazing.
@MyJc19673 жыл бұрын
Amen to this. This is the truth. She will always remember this and singing with her dad and the foo Fighters. She is getting a lesson from her dad on how to get the fans going and showing her how to do it. He is really amazing father. This is one of my favorite songs from this band. Dave Grohl never gets the credit he deserves. He’s an amazing talent. And that talents gonna rub off on his daughter Violet. She’s getting a crash course on how to get the crowd going. This is something she will never forget. And as for him he will never forget this performing with his daughter. That is an amazing situation

Thank You to your dad for his service. The Vietnam war was a war we should have never been involved in. It was terrible how serviceman and women were treated when they came home. My mom died when I was six years old. Not from a war, but from a brain aneurysm so understand your loss. Hugs! ❤️

It shows humility on Dave's part the way he kind of backs into the shadows near the end and allows the spotlight to shine bright on his baby girl. He's able to buy her anything she wants, but he gifted her this priceless moment when she gets to be the rockstar. Allowing your kids to fly is the greatest gift you can give them. I guess now we can add "Super Dad" to the long list of accolades this man has earned.

Back in 1998 I was at band rehearsal I played drums in a Nirvana tribute band, I got a phone call that changed my life forever, it was the girl I had been seeing for just over a month and she was crying, seemed very upset and asked if I could come meet her at the local coffee shop right away, so naturally I said of course, she was already there when I arrived and I could see she was visibly shaken and I was concerned at this point because I had no idea what was wrong, I sat down and she grabbed my hand and said " I'm soooo sorry" still I'm stunned I said" sorry for what" after a min or so of silence she said " I'm pregnant" and that very moment I was very relieved because I thought she was gonna give me some bad news. She was 19 I was 20. So I said "is that why you are so upset"? Before she could answer I got up and walked over to her and I couldn't think of any words to say so I just hugged her, which sent her into one of those real hard cries where she didn't make any noise but could feel her trembling, she finally said, I thought you were gonna mad! I said mad! First of all I'm sure it's 50% my fault that your pregnant, and believe me I'm scared and worried but not mad, it was the first time I ever told her I loved her, and we both went back to my band rehearsal, and we both broke the news, As much as I loved my band and I loved playing drums, I loved her and my unborn baby even more, I told them I had to put away the drums stix and find a job that would be adequate to osupport my family, and eventually they got a new drummer and moved on and did very well for themselves, I stopped playing drums so much but I still played when I could and the passion has never left, but because I couldn't play drums so much anymore, I picked up a guitar and learned how to play that, my daughter is 21 now, and I'm actually visiting her and my 8month old grandson at her house as I write this small chapter of my life, I never regretted quitting my band, and remained very good friends with my former band mates, my passion for music is even stronger now as my daughter is an amazing piano player/singer. I like to think she gets that from me, I'm sorry to write this long dragged out comment, but this particular video just Reminded me of the sacrifices we make for our kids, and I felt compelled to share it!
