Virtual tour of Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams

If you are usually one to spend your weekends visiting exhibitions and soaking up culture, then you may be feeling at a bit of a loss this month, as we all spend our days at home. However, Dior has just announced an exciting new development, which will help inject some culture back into your weekend, as the fashion house has released a virtual tour of its groundbreaking exhibition, 'Christian Dior: Designer of Dreams'.
The exhibition broke records when it was held at the V&A last year, becoming the museum's most-visited exhibit in history with over half a million people walking through the doors. Before it was staged here however, its home was at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, which is where the virtual tour took place.
If you want to step into the world of Dior, then head to the video above where you can watch the construction of the project, as well as have the chance to walk through the finished exhibition and hear from experts and curators about the rich history of the house. From learning about the various talented creative directors who have helmed Dior to seeing precious archival pieces and sketches, it really is an exhibition worth visiting (especially from the comfort of your own sofa).

It's so nice to show behind the scenes of all the processes, the artists and designers and just everything that goes into the process of making each piece. I think it makes consumers appreciate the fashion and just how much does go into it. Lovely documentary.

Dior is a truly beautiful fashion house. Christian Dior’s work is utterly timeless and just plain stunning. As is the all directors who followed after him. This video was remarkable, a testimony to the curator who put her heart and soul into this exhibition.

Very interesting ,big problem was the type and size of English print. When the pictures was light u can read the translation. I would loved to watch to end but I was unable to read the print.

Dior Heritage is in charge of the conservation of the models in an undisclosed location. The temperature and humidity of the storage rooms are constantly monitored and the risk of fire is nill. The models can be loaned for exhibitions or retrospectives.
