The two pieces I'm playing are Aurum Aqua by Susan Dahl Graham (freely available here: www.harptuesday.com/ep223/ ) and The Star of the County Down - here's a nice lead sheet for it: www.cpmusic.com/tradgif/stardown.gif The harp I'm playing is a Harp E - more info at their website www.harp-e.com and I've done several videos about my experience with it: kzbin.info/aero/PLJIuK0PElN-RuRZnAbRFCUnrqFqW1F4Jz

I love the sound of that harp. Reminds me a bit of Patrick Ball's harp sound, but more mellow.

Don’t know anyone else who gets sound like you on the small harp.. thank you. Star of the County Dowm… myfavorite.

Thanks! It's favourite of mine as well!

It IS nice, but FYI, it's an electric harp. Mr. Bell plays a wire-strung harp with his fingernails.

@@mikesoule1352a small lever harp does not require an electrical chord and I don’t see an electrical chord, but there may be one. Where does he plug it in out on the wild? Josh Layne’s exquisite technique, sound and powerful fingers may be what we hear. Maybe you’re suggesting he records in a studio, not outdoors at all. A lot of technical work don’t you think?

All of the small harps in my lever harp collection are Harpsicle models, but you're making me more interested in the Harp-E, Josh! How do you feel that the Harp-E compares to a Fullsicle? Higher tension and wider spacing?

What a beautiful sound! What harp is that? I want one!

It's a "Harp E" - I got it a couple years ago and did several videos about it: kzbin.info/aero/PLJIuK0PElN-RuRZnAbRFCUnrqFqW1F4Jz
