*An unequivocal 3.5 - 3.6 on the -4 to +4 scale* with particular emphasis on the disclaimer at the end of this comment _(for explanation and disclaimers please see the end of the comment)_. *Best interview yet*, at least of those that I recall. There is no need for just another one of these minimalist pointers to the natural ground of basic purity, what we need in an interview on this channel is *exactly* this kind of thing here. May I suggest to those seeking pointing out instructions for insights into simplicity to go to satsang with some realizer in person, not to youtube. An interview about that would just be pretty powerless and the gazillion-th repetition of all these other online gurus. But Harri Aalto finally has sufficient independence to dig right into the good stuff, that is the cosmology beyond the contraction. Nobody else seems to have the guts or the authority to speak of the cosmic order, from his own insights and without taking recourse to lame old scripture and lore. More of that please: what of rebirth, what of karma, does he have a stance regarding Aurobindo's cosmology (Aalto meets Aurobindo would be the ultimate panel !). *If* Harri is real, he would count more among the gnostic masters, I guess, than among the plain non-dualists. May I order episodes 3 - 50 with Harri ! Please cancel most other guests, especially the new agers. _About the rating: anything below and including +1 means by and large a waste of time, and anything below 0 is not only worthless but damaging to the world. For comparison, on that scale, Francis Bennett would be a +3 or more and Harri Aalto would be roughly a tentative +3-3.5. Not coming up with original, independent cosmological insights bans any interviewee from > 3.0 ratings as a matter of principle._ *General Disclaimer:* the rating _pertains to an interview, not to the interviewee_. If the rating is high it means merely and exclusively that I consider the interview to be of high value relative to the stated purpose of the channel, and that it is therefore no waste of time to listen to the interview. It would _not_ imply that whatever the interviewee speaks is the truth (as if I was the arbiter over that) or that you should follow him/her or accept whatever that person offers. _That is particularly in need of emphasis if that would be an expensive enterprise_ !

Is not Pure Consciousness the analytical you, without the push and pull of the mind? To put it simply, cannot you without your egoic mind freely choose to play or to not play? So the BIG question is "what is the matrix" -- that fixes the boundaries of the mind? As pure analytical consciousness what matrix of postulates did we pose and what problem were we trying to solve? I agree that it is very helpful to have an "I Am" experience (the author and the actor both), as a reward for work well done towards vanishing the chaotic mind. The law of duality would then only apply if one chose to play a game in this universe.

Just out of curiosity, what is the criteria is for being interviewed? what does it mean by ordinary spiritually awakened? is this supposed to be for anyone to share their spiritual experiences, or is it only for interviewing people established and unwavering in the absolute state? or is like interviews with famous spiritual teachers?
@TransferOfAwakening10 жыл бұрын
It is hard to completely understand someone else's experience unless you too have had same or similar experience. It is hard even to really say which experience is real. Advaita says the Deep Dreamless Sleep is the purest sate of Reality. In the the Deep Dreamless Sleep... there is no ego, no little self... ...also no devas, angels, demons, visions... As Ramana said what comes and goes in not real.

Helen Noah Not true. He is describing very refined and abstract states of conscious experience. Being 'inner wakefulness' watching the body-mind during dream and deep sleep is an experience. Refining the senses such that they see celestial light, angels and Devas is an experience. (See St. Theresa of Avila on the 'senses of the soul.') Being and seeing the infinite transparency pervading all that is within and without is an experience. This guy practiced years of meditation and recognized these layers of direct experience. Here is a 'regular guy' who is trying to share his very sublime experiences which are actually beyond words. Misunderstanding comes when you yourself have not at least glimpsed these levels of experience..

Rand 108 He's publishing a book soon and I'll be interviewing him again. He say he hasn't really "let the cat out of the bag" yet but will in that interview. What you've heard so far is just a glimpse.

I could only keep my attention on this one for less than 20 mins, far too messy and complicated. None of this can be adequately described in the first place, much of what is being said here feels totally debased and fictional. Perhaps I haven't "awakened" enough yet to be aware of whatever it is you are talking about, but this interview seems to me to explore make-believe and not objective fact, for me. Insofar as your experiences are highly subjective, there is nothing wrong with this. What is subjective fact for you is objective contingency to me, and so ultimately unreal for me as a subject, real for the objective universal Self that I am too. I am a little bit surprised that so many wanted to see another interview with Harri, I suspect their ether dedicate a lot of effort to weaving an ego story around it, or most of the viewership here are a lot closer to trans dimensional aliens than me. This is not meant as a personal attack, it is my personal impression.
@TheHelenNo10 жыл бұрын
Take it less personal, that´s the key.You can´t "learn" anything substantial here. If anything you can be inspired to be more playful and creative. This guy is a poet and a painter and he is doing god´s job by expressing himself. So is everyone and everything else. Take a look around.
@Dullface10 жыл бұрын
Helen Noah I checked all around me, also under the bed and behind the paintings, but I don't see anybody doings God's work. Could you show me where God is, then I can maybe ask it?
