Hi Kathy: Thanks for the reply. I skated in the 60's and 70's - passed my Gold Medal Dance Test in 1964. I'm an old timer, but still have eye for foorwork, etc. It's too bad that these kids never became a bonafide team. Roller skating needs new talent.

Hi Dennis ..I really liked these kids .. he is only 13 and they were NOT a team .. her partner quit and this kid stepped in at the last minute so I'm not sure they continued to do anything together after this meet .. they skate for Kerri Heffner out of Texas

I skated the same time you did .. took my Gold medal in 1968 ... and left in 1975 ... but returned 2 1/2 years ago when I discovered I could still get around!!!! Are you on facebook? We have lots of wonderful skating stuff on there and lots of people from our era! If so, look for Kathy Peterson Tini and friend me!

Tis team has great potential. They move and interpret the music well - but have too much upper body movement. I like how they position their upper bodies going into edges, but there needs to be a little more checking the body before stroking. They appear almost as in a frantic hurry, insted of letting the edge take them. They are well positioned for the edges, so keep the employed knees bent and go with the flow. And that tales practice. Practice. And more practice! .
