I'm also not sure if you watched the speech in it's entirety, but he was not saying that their degrees mean nothing. He's saying that being a mother is more meaningful to most women than their careers...Just like how most men would say that being a father is much more meaningful than their careers... I think the outrage is coming from people who didn't listen to the full 20 minute speech. There's plenty to be offended by in there (also some good stuff in there on the importance of fatherhood), but I think that line that everyone is talking about is being way overblown and not worthy of a top news story. Our culture has promoted sin and evil for so long, people don't recognize or respect when someone is just speaking the truth mostly like Butker. He's confronting a lot of people's sins and distorted ideas and that's what is causing them to want to silence him. Yeah, reading scripture from the Bible and the Book of Mormon (I’m LDS) there are many examples of cities and entire civilizations descending into wickedness and perversion. Often prophets would tell the people to repent, and sometimes they did. Though of course there were times where an entire society was wiped off the face of the earth for not repenting and continuing to do evil. Hopefully our case is the former.

Looks like he put his foot in his mouth instead of striking a football, but what should be expected from someone employed by a billionaire who wants taxpayers to pony up of a new or renovated stadium.
