I think it comes down to Harrison being a regular guy, and has never let fame get to his head. He simply doesn't understand it as it is a job to him, and he doesn't like the fame that comes with it. Being treated as if he is a special celebrity all the time makes him feel awkward, or at worst annoy him, no matter if it is from fellow actors or anyone really. Ryan Gosling is just like in many ways, and really down to earth, and they share the same humor which is why they click so well.

Harrison Ford - people think he is a grumpy man who doesn't suffer fools - the thing with him is he is playing the grumpy man - and if an interviewer understands that they can have a lot of fun. He is so funny - so many clips of him with people saying things about his grumpiness - if he was genuinely that way he wouldn't bother with the interviews at all - he doesn't HAVE to do that - he is Harrison Ford.

You have to love their whole "Brian-Ryan" schtick where Harrison plays the aging actor with dementia. Just brilliant. When Alison Hammond alludes to Ryan Gosling's knitting he was genuinely surprised anyone knew. I love the British interviews. Celebrities can be human (drink, cuss) and they seem to genuinely appreciate being able to relax, laugh, and have fun. Hollywood is so prudish.

I have never seen Harrison act like this at interviews with other actors to this level. Most of the time he is dodging subjects and doesn't want to talk much. And here he is with Ryan Gosling just carrying on with him like they are a close Father and Son, cracking their inside jokes and knowing what each other is thinking. It is quite strange to watch. Harrison missed his true calling as a comedian. But he’s a truly great actor. This dry type of humor and style of lovingly roasting someone close to you seems to be lost these days. Love it.
