People bash the Star Wars Prequels as if they were the worst movies ever when really they weren't that bad. Kingdom of the Crystal Skull WAS that bad.

The prequels were badly directed, lazily written, and terribly edited (sfx and all). The dialogue was horrible, the characters were bland (except for Ewan's Obi Wan), and there was no suspense, good cheeky humour, or sci-fi spectacle that the originals brought (except for the Lava battle in RoTS). The soundtrack and lightsaber fights were the only good bits, but that's not enough to redeem 3 entire movies of trash. That's like saying Indie using his whip and the music was enough to redeem KoTCS. Not good enough!

***** I'll admit the prequels could have been done better but what I really enjoyed about them (other than watching all the events leading up to the originals) was the scale of everything. Even if the council meetings were boring, it was nice to be able to see the whole Jedi Order and learn how it worked. Even though the senate meetings were not my favourite part of the movies it was nice to see how life worked during the days of the Galactic Republic. Think about how big the building was. It really showed the size and diversity of the galaxy. And there were so many new fascinating worlds (although I'm still not sure why they all have the same environment throughout the entire planet, seem to all have the same day and month and year lengths, and pretty much be just parts of Earth spread out over one giant planet, but this problem was invented in the originals, not the prequels), and see all the different species inhabiting each one. I personally loved seeing the Wookiees on Kashyyyk the most. The Clone Wars battles were so much fun to watch, even if the war itself was more grey and somewhat morally ambiguous compared to the black and white galactic civil war. The Clone Troopers were much better than the Stormtroopers were as soldiers. One of them were efficient killing machines bred and trained for combat, while the other couldn't hit the broad side of a moisture evaporator and ran away when outnumbered 8 to 3. Also why was there a hole in the Death Star? How did a bunch of teddy bears with bows and arrows defeat a bunch of stormtroopers with guns who had walking tanks and wore armour (which never seems to protect them from anything to begin with)? See, the OT movies weren't the perfect films you all act like they are. People criticise CGI for reasons I've never quite been able to understand, but it's what brought you duels like the Battle on Mustafar and the Duel in the Senate Building (remember the duel between Obi-Wan and Darth Vader in A New Hope? That's what non CGI duels look like.). Imagine filming the Battle over Coruscant with actual props or making an actor for General Grievous (although I could have done without the coughing). It could probably have been done but it would have costed a lot more. And everything in the TFA looks like a less good version of things in the originals. Kylo Ren's mask looks like an early draft of Darth Vader's mask, and the Stormtroopers look like toys. Seriously some of those weapons don't even make sense, like Kylo Ren's cross lightsaber or the thing that spins around. How do you even control that spinny thing that stormtrooper had? Apart from being an obvious redo of A New Hope I had trouble even figuring out what the point of the story was other than running around showing all the original characters and original stuff like the X Wings (the things with vertical wings that create no lift and just make visibility worse than it already is and serve as an easy target for Rebels fighters) and Tie Fighters and Millennium Falcon and sand planets. That Death Star is too big, and how did they even see that explosion from a planet light years away? Snoke looks like a combination of Darth Sidious and Jabba the Hutt, the soundtrack was far below the standards of what I expect from Star Wars films after songs like Duel of the Fates and Battle of the Heroes, and there are too many unanswered questions and things that make no sense from the movie. The Prequels definitely took stuff from the Originals, but they made things that actually looked like a believable predecessor to it. The Clone Trooper outfits looked like an obvious predecessor to the Stormtroopers (although the Phase 1 Armour was kind of lame looking), and the Venator Class Star Destroyers looked like they could have been used before the bigger and more powerful Imperial ones were built. Plus the Prequels showed the events leading up to the Originals, so they were part of the main story, while TFA had absolutely nothing to do with the story of the first 6 and really has no reason to be called Episode 7 since it is not a continuation of anything that already happened.

I know the only reason he was in The Force Awakens was because he was promised another Indiana Jones movie and I think he even said he didn't really want to do Star Wars in the first place, but don't quote me on that.

I'll never forget how awesome it was to see 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' on the big screen for the first time. It was out at the theater in my hometown for over six months, and I went to see it every other week with my allowance money. My brothers got so sick of me wanting to see it that they started sneaking into other movies. I didn't care that I had to sit by myself, as long as I got my fill of adventure. I saw 'Star Wars' for my 7th birthday, and that was awesome, as well. Great memories! I'm psyched that Harrison is doing this, especially at his age.
