He saw him at the San Diego Comic Con and he went up to him and held out his hand. I guess he told him he always respected him as an actor and he loved his work. Harrison Ford actually looked at him like he couldn't believe he would bother him with a handshake request and he actually said "Nope" and he walked away leaving him standing there with his hand out. I guess some biker dude saw the whole thing happen and he told him "It's okay kid. Someday when you're famous you can tell people what a complete asshole Han Solo was" The really screwed up thing was he's always talked about what a huge Star Wars nerd he is. That must suck to really idolize some actor and he turns out being this tremendous dickhead.

I see a ton of issues with this. I'm not going to list them all though being as it's Harrison Ford doing the piercing and they are having fun with it. Jimmy took the earring out immediately after the show. He was wearing gloves. They had sterilized tools that appeared to be autoclaved in sterile pouches. Issues? Yes, of course but it could have been much worse.

8Drache8 and jazztom86 I'm glad you asked! First of all, a person who solely uses a piercing gun is not considered a body piercer. There is no skill whatsoever involved in using one. In some countries these guns are even sold over the counter in a local store so anyone can do it. It's as simple as putting the jewelry in the machine, lining it up, and punching it. ACTUAL body piercers - such as myself - often do about 2 years of an apprenticeship first (that WE pay for and do not charge for piercings when we finally do them and are learning). There is considerable and difficult technique in most body piercings and it is to be considered a fine art. As stated above . . . in comparison to the two-week training of the mall piercer, a professional body piercer goes through extensive training that can last as long as two or three years. They learn about the human body and how piercings affect the circulatory system. They learn how to avoid hitting nerves that can cause severe pain to the customer. Most importantly, they learn about cross-contamination prevention and how to properly sterilize their instruments. Anything that touches the customer that cannot be autoclaved is thrown away immediately. Work stations are fully disinfected before and after every piercing procedure. While piercing guns may seem to be a quick, easy and convenient way of creating holes, they have major drawbacks in terms of sterility, tissue damage and inappropriate jewelry design. The guns themselves are plastic. Plastic is a porous material and cannot be sterilized (we sterilize all of our equipment, surgical steele, in something called an autoclave that uses heat and steam to kill the bacteria sufficiently. Doctors and dentists use these for their tools as well). Items like wood and plastic that are porous, cannot be sufficiently sterilized. So bacteria remains hidden and trapped. Most people who use the guns reuse them. Blood from one client can aerosolize, becoming airborne in microscopic particles, and contaminate the inside of the gun. The next client’s tissue and jewelry may come into contact with these contaminated surfaces. There is thus a possibility of transmitting bloodborne disease-causing microorganisms through such ear piercing, as many medical studies report. As is now well known, the Hepatitis virus can live for extended periods of time on inanimate surfaces, and could be harbored within a piercing gun for several weeks or more. Hepatitis and common staph infections, which could be found on such surfaces, constitute a serious public health threat if they are introduced into even one reusable piercing gun. Considering the dozens of clients whose initial piercings may have direct contact with a single gun in one day, this is a cause for serious concern. Babies, young children, and others with immature or compromised immune systems may be at higher risk for contracting such infection. Piercing guns can cause significant tissue damage. Though slightly pointy in appearance, most ear piercing studs are quite dull. Piercings must therefore be accomplished by using excessive pressure over a larger surface area in order to force the metal shaft through the skin. The effect on the body is more like a crush injury than a piercing and causes similar tissue damage. Medically, this is referred to as “blunt force trauma.” At the least, it can result in significant pain and swelling for the client, at the most in scarring and potentially increased incidence of auricular chondritis, a severe tissue disfigurement. The length and design of gun studs is inappropriate for healing piercings. Quality is a factor as well. Most ear piercing studs are not made of materials certified by the FDA or ASTM as safe for long term implant in the human body. Even when coated in non-toxic gold plating, materials from underlying alloys can leach into human tissue through corrosion, scratches and surface defects, causing cytotoxicity and allergic reaction. --------- I know that was long and detailed, but I wanted to give you an informed answer. I hope this makes you think. Please, next time you get a piercing, go to a licensed, properly trained, respectable body piercer. It may cost a little more, but I PROMISE you, the outcome will be worth it.

In his defense.. that shit DOESNT feel amazing.. now my lobes didnt bother me much but when I had the needle for my cartilage piercing... it kinda sucked for a second lol.. Jimmy Fallon is really known to make people comfortable in his talk shows. You can see Harrison Ford here has never been as comfortable as ever! He genuinely laughs at the top of his lungs despite his anxiety in public appearances! Fallon seems a really great guy to me even when he is not what most seem to be a great interviewer. He does a fine job releasing the anxiety of people being interviewed.

Very funny, I didn't think it was really going to happen....the fear projected in Jimmy's face was great. A few years ago my 15 year-old daughter wanted to have her eyebrow pierced,...and as a parent I didn't. Just saying no wouldn't have changed a teenage girls mind....So I visited the tat business before I took my daughter and her friends to find a guy who was full of tats, large gauges and facial piercings to perform this procedure. I asked if he would perform with a needle and cork to scare them...which he did such a great job. The expression on the girls faces when the guy came up try to start the process was fantastic...she hoped out of the chair and was out the door with her friends. I was the last to leave the business so I paid him for his services, and some extra for such a great performance. Years later I told my daughter what I did and she gave me that look, and thanked me for preventing the scar that most have from this procedure. I should have video taped it....it was a priceless moment to experience as a parent.

Twist and Shout Ruined My Life Thanks, but some advice if you have daughters....between the ages of 13-17 try to remain calm at all times if you can. As well when you find the low cut boob tops in the laundry (the ones they change in at school) accidentally drop them behind the dryer, and play stupid if there found. Brandon Collister Agree. Pretty much most modern places pierce at least ears with the gun (male or female. It doesn't make a difference). I've seen the needle used for other parts of the body, though.
