The Colchester sales dept has a video of the DRO and work light sliding full length in a track on the top edge of the mud guard. Nice!

Hi Jack Yes I have sold this on now, yes I got very good money for it but it was better than any other I’d seen when I finished with it, The Harrison M300 was never re ground, my current xyz Proturn 420 was done by Unislide grinding ltd, The plates on the m300 were all original and I just cleaned them up Thanks Marc

Hi kinzy, in the Colchester M300 like tours, Is It possible to separate the lathe bed from the stand? To use another table like a stand? Thank you for the answer, Alberto

Hi Yes the bed can be removed from the stand but it would have to be correctly shimmed again to make sure it is perfect and not twisted when mounting it to a new stand Thanks Marc

calm callum Hi, the vfd is a 2.2kw 3hp, 230v single phase input and 230v 3 phase output For £95 I'm very impressed with it

thanks for the reply! i've heard people saying they struggle to run the lathe at 1700 and 2500, your VFD has no problem though. what about under load, does it handle big cuts? how are you going about wiring the carriage lever switch? all the best, Callum

calm callum I have only tested with a light cut and am currently wiring all the original controls and buttons in so it is exactly as per original except from single phase via the vfd I am using Ruper Powells wiring diagram which is exactly what I need to do home.btconnect.com/astronoscope/Articles/M300-v2.html Once it is wired fully I will do some heavy cuts and a video for it

@@kinzy_fabrications hi there, my M300 has a coolant pump as well which is extra 400W I believe so in my case you would say 3kW VFD would be more preferable? thanks!

Stylianos yes the foot brake is wired to the emergency stop circuit of the vfd
