I really like the integrated intercooler arrangement. It's a bit like the heat exchanger BMW uses on the s58 engine. CSF do an aftermarket heat exchanger for the s58 with a thermal barrier gasket to stop heat soak from the block going into the intercooler assembly. Apparently it's very effective. @@IJustAccidentallyThe maybe another 15rwhp at best? You'd need to push more boost with a smaller pulley, larger throttle body and bigger fuel pump to see any decent upgrades over what its already making here and set it up on e85 aswell with a good tune, perhaps a Syvecs ECU too, they keep all factory functionality aswell for the JB74 Jimny. I'm keen to see what's capable of Harrops kit when pushed to the limits, obviously they're making safe power in their configuration kit for reliability on the whole drive train too and realistically its enough for most people and a predictable power curve for off roading which turbo kits can't offer. The biggest powered Jimny I've seen is over in Japan years ago with unnamed forged internals and running a Greddy turbo kit at 250rwhp, its on KZbin by Carstyle or Jimnystyle i think they're called? You can read the English sub titles translated from Japanese if you turn on the captions. Pirate Camp Co's Jimny here in Australia this year in 2024 made 210rwhp on stock internals surprisingly, with another different locally made turbo kit AMV Automotive from memory? But upgraded their throttle body, fabbed up a custom plenum and the other usual stuff like upgraded fuel pump, injectors, fuel rail etc and running a Syvecs ECU. They're testing the limits of stock internals before it dies and then building another motor with forged rods and pistons from Ital Design and pushing it further again so keen to see their results. Pretty crazy the stock engine can handle triple the stock power on stock internals though lol surprised Suzuki built the Jimny engines that strong. Pirate Camp Co's Jimny is on KZbin to see too. AMV Automotive over in Perth have a test mule making abit less power at 204.7rwhp also on stock internals, but interestingly have taken it to the drag strip and ran a 13.87 sec down the 1/4 mile in a 2 door 5sp manual lol thats nipping at the heels of a VE SS Commodore time. Why are you running this on 98 RON stock? It's designed to run on 91 (89 in Japan) - the Suzuki quoted 100hp is with this fuel.
